So long, so very long :(. You poor dears, how you've suffered.

For saying he would stick with kids

He did stick with the kids/backup players for the most part, just like he did for the final vs Chelsea last year. Here's a run down of the experienced players in the starting XI:

Fabianski - kid
Traore - kid
Hoyte - kid
Gallas - only played because Senderos was injured
Sagna - only played because Djourou was injured
Diaby - kid
Denilson - kid
Walcott - kid
Gilberto - Backup player
Bendtner - kid
Hleb - only played because Eboue was at AcON

Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to make excuses. Spurs deserved to win. But don't come out here on your high horse saying Wenger abandoned his policy, because he didn't :)
I'll bet you Darren Bent's pricetag that Wenger doesn't pick the same lineup for the next league match.

In fairness my horse is quite low, but it is hardly sticking with kids having two world cup winners in your starting line up. Everyone knows that is not a team he would play in the league but to even hint that they were either first 'just kids' or second not up to the task is a bit poor from the Arsenal fans. Your goalkeeper was hoped to be a wonder ready to take the number 1 jersey at somepoint & every single one of the team had some premier league experience.

The excuse of calling the team kids just doesn't make sense. Fabregas is what 20 years old? Surely that makes him a kid, yet everyone knows his quality. If Wenger truely wanted to stick with his word then him, Adebayor, Hleb, Gallas & Silva wouldn't have been in the team (note team not just the starting lineup - Wenger could have stuck with those on the pitch but didn't). Arsenal have a load of actual young players who could have filled those slots but they didn't. Why? coz Wenger thought that by mixing those with some experience with some proven real quality players he could breeze by Spurs & paid for that with a drubbing.

Ok, now my horse has grown a bit & I will jump off :p Think my basic point is that while the team overall was young & obviously not Arsenals best, they are not rubbish, without the experienced players Weneger turned to they have got to the Semi's & got to the final the year before & with the experienced players Wenger called in were more than a match for a number of premiership teams easily. Now just to show that I am not bigging up Arsenal here coz I can see that they are a vey skilled team...they smell :p

Some of them may be young but that's it as far as any excuses may go, I don't mean from you in particular, and if you're good enough you're old enough.
Every one of those players is in Arsenal's first team squad so the manager thinks they are good enough for all eventualities.
Chelsea started with at least 5 players last night who wouldn't normally start a major game but no-one is claiming we got to a final with the help of our kids or reserves, they're all first team squad players who are expected to take up the reigns when needed, just as Arsenal's are:)

Guys everyone else knows this, the arsenal fans know this but they just can't handle losin... sorry *ahem* they just can't handle getting absolutely thrashed :D

Like I said earlier, just as bad as their manager.... suprised he didn't see the match to be honest ;)

the average age of the spurs team is only 1 year more than that arsenal team

how old is lennon, boateng, huddlestone, O'hara, dawson etc only 1 or so years difference in most cases

on that night even if you put out your regular starting 11 you will still have probably lost the players were really up for it
maybe not 5-1 tho

everyone agrees you where lucky to win at the emirates in the league with your starting 11

i do admit that from around 1993 till 2005 spurs have been abit crap but things are changing we have a top manager now and decent enough players and hopefully more coming so dont think that 9 year wait to beat you will happen again and we will be genuine top 4/5 contenders

such rubbish.

all i see is

EXCUSE BECAUSE WE LOST

Lets not forget, we have one of the worst defences in the country, let alone the Premiership and you still couldn't break us down, and when you finally did we just went straight up the other end and showed the millions of people watching the game just how average a player Gallas really is.

A so called World Cup winner and was embarassed on more than one occassion by our players. The way Jenas made him look distinctly Anthony Gardner like for the 5th was class.

I don't care what Arsenal side you put out, the fact is, it was a Semi Final, it was a London Derby it was a chance to play at Wembley and win a trophy (the last two all professional footballers want) and you got stuffed. I guarantee United will give us respect this weekend.

As for the two sides: I seem to recall when Wenger signed Fabianski that he said he was the best keeper you had at the club, guess he is learning well from Lehmann. We also finally saw what a waste of talent Walcott now is playing at Arsenal. Also, if Senderos is still injured come the weekend and Wednesdays games wont you be playing Hoyte again at centre back (in a first team game, shock horror)

Finally, I hope Capello rewards Jenas and Lennon for their recent fine form with a call up. Yet another occassion Spurs will have more players on show than Arsenal, and this time you can include your first team :D

lol - weird! Arsenal did to right?
Have they not done the double on Spurs in the league this season??
How quickly that has been forgotten by Spurs fans.
