January Transfer Window

Dunno which of the newspapers this is from, I wish Tribal would say...

Patrice Evra has stunned Manchester United by his new £120,000-a-week contract demands.

The Mirror says United full-back Evra is demanding parity with the top earners at the club like Rio Ferdinand before he commits himself to stay at Old Trafford. Evra, who joined United two years ago from Monaco for £5.5million, is currently on £36,000 a week and has just started talks about a new deal.

But the 26-year-old's demands have caused a major stand-off with the club after his representatives insisted he deserves to be among their top earners.

Evra wont get anywhere near £120k but its probably a good starting point for negotiations. Given his progress since he joined I would expect him to at least double him money though.

Its not what others in the team are being paid that his advisors should be looking at its what he could get elsewhere and i dont see a queue of clubs being able to offer a full-back £120K

As good as Evra has been, he's not a key player and isn't worth the £70-£120,000 p/w wages. I don't like the way of advertising his greed either. £60k and you're about right.

Josh Walker joins Aberdeen on loan till the end of the season

Another promising Boro youth player central midfielder this time, played a few years ago against fulham

Do Spurs fans actually still want Hutton given the amount of messing about he's doing? He wants another 48 hours to think about it!
He's messing about because of family issues but Rangers are trying to push the sale through because obviously Spurs are offering very good money.

I think we're paying too much but if he keeps up his form and we can get the same money back for Chimbonda then yes I'd be happy to have him at WHL. I think he should prove to be an upgrade over Chimbo who I've had enough of tbh.

His wife is pregnant and he doesn't want to be in the middle of moving/settling in at a new club when the baby is born. Joining Spurs doesn't seem to be the issue. He just doesn't think that it's the right time to move.

I can't complain with that attitude. Unlike what could be said about Chimbonda and his recent displays...

He aint the best defender in the world but as an attackign full back he will be sadly missed. He has been pushed out of the club by a greedy chairman looking to balance the books. :(

Have Juventus actually watched Sissko play, or just listened to a few Liverpool fans on the web?

May be a bit predictable from me but im tipping Sissoko to go on and be regarded as a true World Class defensive midfielder.
He does the Makelele role of breaking up attacks but doesn't just do it infront of his own 18 yard box but all over the pitch and he has a truely unbelievable engine and has improved his ability on the ball aswell.

Now he's at a big club maybe he'll become that player;)

Thats the way i see him too, some of his attacking performances have been excellent but he's only come on in the last year and defensively hes not the best. Certainley not for £9m.

I think he could be in for a bit of a shock to his system if he makes his Spurs debut on Saturday!

Rangers putting this on their site makes me think the deal is all but done for Hutton.

Hutton - Woodgate - King - Bale

That's a nice looking back four for next season, I wonder how many times we'll get to play it? Best outside the Top 4? I'd put it on a par with Liverpool's backline.... we just need a midfield that can protect it now!!
