Firstly contact ocUK in case it was mislaid or something, then give ATi a prod they are likely to send you one for free
I lost my dvi->vga dongle on a 1950xtx and they sent one for no charge a while back :x

Just bit the bullet on an HIS HD3870 X2 from OCUK. Managed to find a 6-pin to 8-pin connector on a famous auction house, just to be on the safe side - little bit pricey though (£14.99 for a connector!).
 
Or make one. Only two earth wires.

I wouldnt go with them if i were you. the connectors arent very good and found personal experience I havent been sent one that worked before.

Plus £14.,99 for an adaptor :eek::eek::eek:

I installed the crysis demo and tried the benchmark, using the settings in the ocuk thread i got the following:

With cat ai set to standard i got 34.7fps, with it set to advanced i got this

Completed All Tests

Perhaps consider selling your existing PSU, and getting one with an 8-pin already on it? If the difference is about £15 then it might be worth it :)

45fps. Nice :) Pretty much inline with the other review. Good news is that apparently the new driver as seen by places like hardocp increase performance a significant amount, so something to look forward to :)

Also.. does the cat ai actually make any visual difference that you have noticed?

No visual differences i could spot :)
