Im going to get a new HDD and Devicded to go for this one;
Western Digital Caviar SE16 250GB SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM (WD2500AAKS) OCUK Stock Code: HD-133-WD.

Is there any Drivers/Utilities I'll need to use before I install Windows XP SP2?

I'll also be using my old IDE drive to copy my documents ect to the new drive. Will anything have to be changed in the bios to stop the PC booting into the IDE?

Just set SATA mode in the BIOS to IDE mode, that should let XP see it with no need of installing drivers ;)

For 2nd question: Either simply disconnect old IDE one or in BIOS set the new one as 1st Boot device. If old one is still connected/in-use, you might have to set new one as 1st or main in Hard Drives menu.

I would disconnect your old drive completly when installing XP on your new drive - saves any trouble with the drive letters!
