buttons car came though my work (DHL at EMA Airport) on friday night and the guys with it said button isnt happy at all with the car

Well, judging by the last set of testing times, didnt Honda finish bottom? It therefore wouldnt surprise me that the driver driving that car is unhappy.

I honestly cant see how Brawn can effect the results this year, given that Honda (from early impressions) have managed to produce another lemon of a car.

Normally, when a wealthy team (like Honda) produces a bad car, a heavily revised version tends to be on the cards, later on in the season. The problem with that strategy though, is that you are effectively releasing a car 5 months after the opposition have released theirs, which means you are going to be up against it. So, using that strategy, isnt something to be taken lightly.

We shall just have to wait and see if Honda can improve things before Australia.

Tbh I can't see Brawn having an impact at Honda at least until 3/4s of the way through the season - and given his age and family ties I can't see him staying at Honda very much past 2009.

When he joined Honda the 08 car had already been designed - and from the look of it, it's another dog.

Last thing I read was they hadn't even put any new aero on it yet. So that makes it hard to see how anyone can draw conclusions on how good it is just yet.

I dont think that anyone is concluding that Honda have failed. However, the fact that they finished bottom in the last round of tests, doesnt bode well for them. No team would want to be in that position. If they couldve gone faster, they would've, if only to improve confidence within the team and sponsors.

With regards to aero enhancements: this really isnt a valid argument. The other teams have already fitted their cars with these enhancments and are working to improve things further. Honda, seem to be further behind in the development curve, compared to the other teams. Dont expect this to suddenly change in Australia. If it is true that Honda havent added their aero enhancements, then it just proves that they are further behind the other teams, in terms of the learning curve (for their respective car).

Honda will certainly improve things in the next 45 days or so, but then so will all the other teams. The question is, 'Will Honda improve more than other teams and move up the grid?' Going by their recent past, they probably will move off the back of the grid, but wont be able to compete for points (unless it rains).

:) thought that might have been the case, also the ferraris front wing looks quite different? i wonder if its unique setup for slicks  requiring less downforce maybe

i like the mindgames that the ferrari test driver is playing in the 2nd vid clip coming right up behind the mclaren as if to say come on then LOL

The slicks will only be allowed with less downforce rules so yes they will have been trying out both at the same time. FIA wont allow more grip with slicks without removing more downforce.
