You have missed my point entirely. Assuming the function we as humans use to generate random numbers is, truly, random, then the string of numbers he posted in gest is improbably likely to have come up the same had he intended to purchase the ticket. In other words, had the numbers he posted here come up, but had he never actually posted them but chose to buy a ticket instead, the likelyhood those same numbers would have resulted from the query is as small as the chance of winning the lottery itself. Therefore, by writting down any string of numbers in gest in no way affects your potential winnings because had you been going to buy a ticket in the first place, it is unlikely those same numbers would ever have come up. Now thats confusing!

Dont pretend like when you bought your ticket you actually thought 'Ah well, if i dont win at least some poor street kid is getting a football kit'. Thats what the welfare state, and thusly TAXES are for.
