NO TO GAM£ 39

IMO here's how it should be done:

A draw takes place to determine who you play
A second draw determines where you play
You play that team twice abroad in one week
The games are the first of the season ie/ August fixtures

This means that every team gets a foreign/ moneymaking tour game each year
They are actually competitive
They take away home advantage for both ties
They maintain the integrity of the league format based on equality of opposition across 38 games.

A lot of these money-paying foreigners are going to be very disappointed if yesterday's Chelski v Liverpool encounter is any kind of indication of the quality / entertainment factor of the PL.

All that could do is give one team an easy 6 points! Thats anb even worse idea! To preserve the leagues integrity each team needs to play each time the same amount of times. It would be better if it was 1 home game 1 away and 1 in another land.

At least theat would make all the games equal. Not sure the teams would be happy with 57 games.

I think you've misunderstood, I'm not talking about adding 2 games, just that your two fixtures against a specific team take place abroad as opposed to in the normal league home/away fixture. I do reading lessons :p

Why should season ticket holders lose out seeing that team? If I buy a season ticket I want to see all other 19 teams :) Not 18 and then travel to outer monglia to see them!

I'm not against it so I won't be signing :)

:)
If people can't see that this is the next step forward then I don't know what to say. Yes it does need to be very much ironed out and be 'made fair' but then it's also down to the luck of the draw.

This is a business after all.

I think they should do the odd game over seas not add a game like they have here. Everyone keeps going on about how it is retracting from the fans enjoyment. Or that the players would be at a disadvantage from going abroad. Why not do what the NFL did have one match. You can't say it affected either team negatively, the dolphins sucked anyway and the giants got to the superbowl no harm done.
Also it was great for the English fans to watch an NFL game here. I think we should defo take PL games abroad, absolutely against it in it's current format but in some form I think it'd be good for foreigners to watch teams from the best league in the world play.

I couldn't agree more. Like Asian teams playing in European competitions.

i liek the idea. and i ma sure they said that the top 5 would be seeded, so they wont play each other.

If all the Clubs have agreed, then i see no problem. getting the product out in the world is a good thing, and more money cannot hurt.

It's not thought is it, as Cardiff, Wrexham or Swansea can't play in the Welsh cups or qualify for Europe through Welsh competitions, so what difference does it make?

I'm against the idea of this. I don't like that this game could easily be the deciding factor in who wins the premiership. Arsenal play Derby while Man Utd play Chelsea for example.

Totally against! Im a Blade. If it happend that Blades and Wednesday got promoted to the premieship and ended up plaing the derby match in some foriegn country i'd be extremely ****ed! Its tottally unfair on the fans. This only benifits the bigger clubs too! Can you honestly see that if Man Utd vs Derby happend in Korea that there would be many Derby fans in attendance? Sure maybe a few but the fan base of Man Utd over there is pretty huge!
Also, what happens to the football league teams around the world? Take the MLS not the biggest football league in the world if the big 4 start going over to play "The best legue in the world" in thier towns and cities what happens to the smaller MLS sides? theyll lose fans!

Signed to the craziest idea the F.A has come up with!

And..... Relax :p

I was thinking more Turkey but there you go :)

The difference it makes is Cardiff are taking the place of an English club and should be booted out of the English league.

I have no problems with playing games abroad but not league games. The best thing they can do if they want to make a bit more money would be to introduce a winter break (2 weeks) and send the sides off to the 5 different cities to play tournements of 4 sides for a few days.
