Sold my Soul! and started WoW

I unfroze my account 3 weeks ago and created a new Char and didn't go out for 2 weeks.

Let your friends and family know and stock up on food & drink....

Ah the stereotypical "i play wow and have no social life" tripe that gets posted over every forum ever..

God forbid you could play it casually and continue a normal life. Self control... ?

Druid DPS does not suck, that used to be the norm pre-TBC but each class has had a major overhaul now. It is perfectly standard practice to have feral druids alongside fire magis now, in all situations. No specs are truly useless anymore, except maybe for survival spec. And marksman spec. And beast mastery spec. Hehehehe.

Forgive me then, I hardly played post TBC.

Feral druid dps is actually quite good. When I played we frequently had our druid OT's dpsing on bosses and most were top 10 in a 25 man raid. But if you wanna be pure dps there are definitely better classes to roll.

Moonkin dps is baaad. Anyone who says otherwise is in denial and should go reroll a mage/lock. But they do give +5% crit for the party or something? Which is pretty nice.
I hear boomkin is pretty fun in PvP though :)

Btw, feral is levelling spec. Since its a tank/dps hybrid spec you can tank lower level instances (WC, SM etc.) and also do enough damage to solo quests/mobs etc.

EDIT: Wowwiki is a good site for tips on playing your class and useful endgame specs.

GL HF.

Thats a pve server?

Do not play on a pve server, 6months time when you are 70 and geared you will regret it so much that you didnt roll on a high population pvp.

But it's an absolute nightmare when it comes to leveling up. Just thinking of the amount of times that I got ganked on a PVP server makes me cringe.

It's also hard to farm mats, motes etc on a PVP server. I'm glad I moved all 3 of my 70's from PVP to PVE.

Yeah pves are great, low population, hard to get groups, slow raiding guild progression, barely any raiding guilds at all, awful economys.

Think i got ganked twice at most on leveling 3 70s on a pvp.

lol @ moving from pvp->pve, trapped your chars on awful servers, nice move!

And you just happen to know what every single PVE's raid progression is?

The server I'm on is fine. Lots of raiding guilds, it's very easy to get groups from my experience.

Yes i do actually, bosskillers.com

Ok then, go and read that. You said there were 'barely' any raiding guilds i.e a very very small amount.

Read that, and list here how many raiding guilds that all of the EU PVE servers have.

Oh and, you also said 'lol @ moving from pvp->pve, trapped your chars on awful servers, nice move!'. Awful servers? I have a lot of friends on the server that I play on. I don't think it's for you to decide if the server is awful.

you got ganked TWICE while lvling 3 70s?!!? lol

did you just instance all the way? what server?

i think i got ganked about 5 times today on my warrior, and ganked at least 10 people :)

and i would easily be into triple figures on the amount of times i got ganked getting my mage to 70 and prob my 50 warrior too. im on Outland

I'm determined to get my warrior to lvl70.

Ditto. Its like playing a simplified druid from what I can tell so far. Mines at level 40 atm and Im not enjoying it as much as I thought. just want to power it up to 70 (with the help of some friends so I dont have to play 8 hours a day) so I can PvP with it- looking forward to making another warrior paladin team like when arena 1st came out. warrior pala 2v2 was always one which was tough.

By the way when people talk about tank spec for druid its not like speccing prot on a warrior. You will have most/ all of your dps talents included in the tanking spec. The only difference is that you put more points in feral tree.
Until you reach Mangle on the feral tree don't put points in anything else really. I'd go for Omen of clarity in resto and mangle in feral. the rest is entirely up to you as everyone plays their class differently. Play the game and by the time you get your travel form you will probably have found a way in which you like to play. I would take my time doing a 1st character (as I did) and did loads of dungeons and low level pvp at the time when the ranking system was only weeks from extinction. The PvP side of Druid is why I didnt give up playing wow altogether tbh.

Let us know how you're getting on :)

edit: ganking is fun until you decide you wanna power level a character or if you dont have any high level toons to help. Dont whine when it happens because you chose a PVP SERVER and if you dont wanna PvP at all then go on a PVE server. Not wanting to PvP ever in this game is sad because its a big part of the game to experience. You can tell who has done lots of PvP from their level of skill with their own class. Its sad to see that somehow people get to level 70 and are so shamefully bad at their class that you feel sorry for them wasting so much time and still sucking at it. Mini rant over after wiping in Heroic Mechanar :*(

Go count how many Illidan killing guilds there are on alliance/horde on pves, then compare it to pvp servers, also look at how fast pves progress compared to pvp servers.

Its at least double, sometimes 3x as many on a pvp server.

Vast majority of pves for horde are absolute ghost towns with very few people. Never advise anyone to play on a pve, you are setting them up to be miserable once they realise they can never play on one of the highest populated servers (pvp) due to the restrictions on moving characters from pves.

I play on burning legion, going for gladiator title this season in 2v2 ;)

go feral, you can tank very well and can do dps with the same build. Say goodbye to your social life tho :)

That's the most ridiculous thing i've ever read! What on earth makes you think that not being able to kill someone in the grinding world makes bad raid guilds, bad economies and a complete lack of raid guilds?

Honestly this argument is so pointless because i've never seen it crop up without PVP Fanboi's coming along with ridiculous unfounded statements like the one above. The are 4 guilds on my PVE server who have run out of things to Raid. And that's just on Horde. There are a further bunch of guilds in SSC and TK/BT Progression. Hyjal is a joke.

Low population? Source please. Show me the older PVE servers with a low population so i can move there and be child free.

Hard to get groups? I'm assuming this is a follow up from "low population". Join a guild and forget about joining Pugs.

Slow raiding guild progression? Source please. I want to see where you got this mythical information regarding the speed of guilds. Also while you're at it show me where the stats are showing that there are hardly any raiding guilds on PVE servers. See previous statements.

And awful economy. Yes you're right. Being able to gank someone drives prices right up! Grats.

Seriously. The -only- difference between PVP and PVE is that PVP is full of elitist morons who think they're "better" at the game. Get over yourself.

I've been playing wow longer then anybody on this forum and no matter what people say, progression is the same on all types of servers.

Newer servers have slower progression, economy etc but that's obvious, new servers + low population = slow progression. It all comes with time.

Following on the ganking topic, i was corpse camped today for 30mins by a gnome mage in S2 gear because i owned his alt 4 times. That's the fun about pvp servers, ganking is great fun. :D
