Team ICO leaving Sony - true or false

To be honest, even if this has happened, there is no way a director would speak of another company that way unless some form of legal battle was going on between them. It would be viewed as unprofessional and thus damaging to the company.

I'm gonna put my money on false.
 
It is almost as funny as the rumour that Ted Price was leaving insomniac that was doing the rounds when Bungie and MS said they where splitting.

I can't see it happeneing though. Until i see a link with a credible source, then i wont believe it.
 
Sounds like a load of codswallop to me... it would be like Microsoft Game Studios parting company with Microsoft - it's just not going to happen!

Wouldn't suprise me if the rumour was started by MS tbh though. I'm not saying that MS are worse than any other corporation but just that I'm sure this kind of stuff goes on all the time.
 
you wont see ICO on anything but a sony console, even if teamico do leave as sony own the ico IP.

a similar story came out recently for insomniac which insomniac shot down, a site claimed a version of resistance was in the works for the 360 and R+C for the wii.

we only develop for the ps3
we dont have anyone working on any other console
sony own those IP's anyway.


doesn't stop 'news' sites and fanboys running around with rumours.
 
You can own the IP sure, but take away the backbone and you are often left with nothing but a name, look at the Champ Man/Football Manager example ;) And I imagine PGR IP as well if MS start making those games.
