an onboard MPG readout can never be 100% accurate. Too many variables to get in the way.
So, not 100% accurate then![]()
How long is a piece of rope....
Why do I want an MPG readout in my car ?
Why can't I use a calculator ?

Infact, I've found something that might be of use to people who don't have an MPG readout and want one..

Its a bit pricey though..
Unfortuantely BMWs 'estimate' of your fuel level is horribly wrong.
You'll never see 700 miles to an E46 tank. Best I've seen from an M47 is 650 with it stuttering into the fuel station from a sedate 60mph non stop motorway trip.
