Me not having the patience is now paying off, right?
Errr... yeah. Well maybe you will learn patience from this

Me not having the patience is now paying off, right?
Bought the car and drove it home before realising it wasn't taxedQuickly nipped to the PO who sorted me out.
We have no off-road parking and she still uses the car daily and has not been advised to not use it. Is she breaking the law? We accept it's missing, she has paid for tax but is not displaying.

I think in this day and age of number plate recognition and integrated databases covering Insurance, MOT, Registration and Tax that displaying a disc should be obsolete by now. Just seems to me like an excuse to make money.

HahaYou quickly nipped to the post office? Right, speeding as well, that'll be another fine!![]()
Well its been over a week since we submitted the form and we got nothing yet. There is absolutely nothing to avoid getting done for it for her I suppose. No off-road parking and a missing tax disc. We live on a terraced row with the Police station tagged onto one end very close by and we get officers walking past our cars all the time and haven't had anything from it.
Not much we can do about it though unless we camouflage it. I wonder if the Romulans or the Navigator will lend me a cloaking device.
I just bought the car!
And the insurance certificate will take at least 1 day to come
you can insure your car online and then print off a temp cover note (like i did)
and also tax your car online (like i do)
The tax on my car ran out at the end of Jan and even though I ordered it early, got it early and put it in my glove box with the intention of changing it I clean forgot about it till the middle of the second week of this month. At work I park in a public car park so looks like I had a lucky escape or the regular wardens who I talk to recognised the car and chose to ignore it.
Failure to display is a ridiculous offence in this day and age.
3 pages of replys, don't alter the fact that ignorance of the law is no excuse,
you have to pay.
