Weekend Football *SPOILERS* 9-11 February

I think that was part of the problem today, you didn't actually tackle, therefore you couldn't get booked.

You mean the Axe didn't do his bloody job!? No wonder we lost then! :p

Maybe Hughes wanted to avoid Wengers usual temper tantrum he has after watching his side play ours. ;)

Probably wouldn't go over yours - the white pointy hat got in the way ;)

Now lets see........heres me in The Bronx in the middle of Wolverhampton

And theres you in white middle class Devon...........

Now lets get this back on topic and stfu

I'd dread you going to a football game, there's all sorts of swearing, drinking and sexist, racist remarks lol :D

Hleb made the difference. What a player he is. I'm so glad he's finally getting some recognition. I can clearly remember being laughed at on here when I predicted he'd become one of our most important players.
i took a lot of crap from ppl too (not on here) for defending Hleb, also got stick for saying Adebayor would come good too.

you could tell from the get go hleb had incredible ball skills but just had to adjust to the pace and physical nature of the english league (who doesn't), but he's also improved his awareness inside the box which has helped him no end.

the next one i'm waiting for is Diaby, he's coming along more slowly than i expected tbh even though i still think he has great potential and has a nice eye for goal. don't think he's the new Vieira like i'm wishing for but will still be a handy player.

mark hughes makes me laugh - "Not many teams can come to the Emirates and take Arsenal on in a passing game and we certainly did that" .....:o Without Friedel it could have been 4 or 5 nil and i don't think Lehmann had a scare all night.

To be fair everyone who was knocking Hleb had a point over the last 2 seasons. It's only now he's started performing consistently. He still needs to be more of a goal threat but his dribbling and passing has improved no end.

Adebayor still irritates me, i know he's banging them in for fun at the moment but his passing and decision making is shocking at times. Maybe we were just spoilt with Henry and i'm being over critical but he definately has areas he needs to improve in.

I like Diaby a lot, very slippery customer who really needs to play in the center to get the best out of him i think. Prone to rash challenges when he loses the ball but not much else wrong with him.

But we did take you on in a passing game. The fact you beat us just means you were the better team.

Friedel is a fantastic keeper, consistently one of the best in the EPL over the year and given his performances over the years I am surprised we've kept hold of him for as long as we have done. Without him on the night you would have put 4 ot 5 past us. Thing is, our keeper did his job whereas the midfield & attack (both in general play and the Senderos goal) didn't.

i dunno what it is about friedel but he always plays absolute blinders against us from recent memory, he's a good keeper anyway but he definitely brings his A game playing arsenal.

5 seasons ago Blackburn beat us 1-2 at Highbury in the most one-sided defeat I've ever seen - we had 26 shots on goal but Friedel was on fire. At the time we were annihilating all comers (hence Wenger's 'whole season unbeaten' comment) and the side was at it's peak, but somehow lost 4 games in a row and never really recovered.

I think age is the only reason no 'big' club has come in for him.

Assuming you mean 2005, no, because I didn't see the whole of that game. Had to leave to go on a date (we're now engaged so I suppose it was worth it!).

Arsenal fans = n00bs then so it seems
