In short they -do- have the mindset of stone age people, thats the 'evolutionary/social' scale they are at, however due to the west being so much more advanced and some western countries selling modern weapons to them, they are like a kid whos found his dads gun. Very Dangerous to have people who cannot think for themselves and then be given a loaded weapon.

My Dad lived and worked in Saudi.

One day a local hit his car. The Police arrived, and guess what!!

It was my Dad's fault as he shouldnt be in the country anyway!!

As if he wasnt there it wouldnt have happened

I heard a similar story on the rig recently. Also heard a story from a guy who's been there, that one of his workmates got his Marks and Spencers clothes confiscated when he was entering the country.

As for the witch thing, it's hard to believe that stuff like this goes on in the 21st century.

I've been doing a bit of checking up on this story and it now looks very suspect. The items were allegedly confiscated because of Marks and Spencers' strong Jewish connections. A bit of research shows me that Marks and Spencers actually have 8 stores in Saudi Arabia, which would suggest that the story is probably a fabrication (why would they confiscate M&S stuff when the same items are freely available in the country).

I will leave it in place but I wanted to make clear that I now doubt the validity of the story.
