57 days! If I counted properly.

Im suffering a 12 month ban for dangerous driving, started 13/04/07 after a crash I had september 06.

I will have to re-take my test too :(

Not looking forward to insurance time either.

how long were you driving before your ban?

If it was long time, you're gonna have to re-invent the wheel, by learing hwo to drive for test again =[

Well my driving history has been really bad.

Passed in Dec 1998, 1st time with a few minors, crashed my 1st car in Sept 1999, got taken to court in Dec 1999 due to witnesses with nothing better to do making storys up together.

Basically I was hurrying to work, passed a lorry on an island, As I exited the island there was a guy on the outside of me who cut me up, annoyed i beep and undertake him, went into the next island too fast lost it and hit a lamp post. Driver that cut me up was a retired traffic police man, he said I nearly collided with him??? after he cut me up? :s The lorry driver said when I passed him on the island he could see the underside of my car, from his lorry cab? like he was saying I was on 2 wheels? In a 1.0 Micra? yea ok mate. The retired traffic officer with nothing better to do with his time obviously sorted this out so I got sent to court, 1 useless solicitor later and I was banned for 12 months.

I had to re-test in 2001, Passed theory with 35/35 and practical test with 2 minors.

All was fine until 2006 when I had an Integra Type R 98 spec, the lightweight model with no ABS/Airbags/Rear wiper. I was showing someone I know the car as he was thinking of getting one, asked me to take him for a drive. Then I did the most stupid thing ever.

I booted it up a hill, no idea of my speed but it was a 30 zone, as I came over the crest I saw the red light at the bottom with 2 cars waiting, I hit the brakes which resulted in instant lock up of all wheels, skidded for about 70 yards before hitting the back of the waiting 406 and shunted him into the 106 in front of him.

Totally my fault, totally idiotic driving on my behalf in a 30 zone at 9:30pm.

This car always had locked up very easilly and I should have known better, I had a UK Teg before this with ABS and that car would have stopped with ease. The police calculated my speed from the skidmarks at 66mph, impact speed was probably about 15mph I think, maybe even less.

Pics to follow if you so wish.

Blimey. I hope for your sake and the sake of the safety of everyone else in the country that you've learnt how to drive and don't behave like a grade a idiot any more. You're lucky to even have a chance at getting your licence back. I know we all make mistakes and at least you're man enough to admit that it was your fault on every occasion. I just hope you've learnt your lesson and you decided to join the rest of us in the world of safe driving and not being a nob on the road. Had I been the truck driver I'd have probably given you a kicking.

Same. Since having kids if anyone buzzes me on the road I get very, very aggressive about it. It's not as though the roads are safe in the first place, let alone maniacs driving cars they can't handle.

Wtf? i did nothing wrong to that truck driver, also the use of swear words isnt allowed here Freefaller and I dont appreciate the abuse.

I didn't swear mate - if you're not happy with my post RTM it. I also know the rules better than most memebers ;)

You deserve the abuse IMO. I don't think you're fit to drive on the roads - unless you truly have learnt your lesson and will stop driving like a plum then I'm afraid I have no sympathy and nothing but contempt for you.

If you have however, truly learnt your lessons and you can prove that you are fit to share the roads with us then I will gladly welcome you back onto the road and wish the the best of luck. However, purely from your attitude I doubt that very much.

You drove like an absolute ****, posted it on a forum where you knew it wouldn't exactly go down well, and then take offence when someone points out you are a ****.

Maybe next time don't post?

Its not like I drove like that all the time, I admit I drove like a noob from the start, after my 1st crash I learnt my lesson, then 7 years later I made 1 stupid mistake, hardly worlds worst driver award is it? My daily driving is very good and very safe, rarely breaking speed limits, this is backed up by the fact that the week before the crash in my Teg I averaged 35mpg, thats impressive from a car of such performance, I have also drove plenty of fast cars and never had any other incidents.

You guys have got me all wrong.

My list of cars

Civic VTi
Civic VTi with turbo - 235bhp
Integra Type R x 2 (UK and JDM)
Mitsubishi Evo 3

Maybe we did get you wrong, however it is the way you wrote your posts you attitude and the way that it came across just seemed to me to be a little less than great.

I fail to see how a list of cars somehow proves you aren't a tit in a car.

Oh and to lock the wheels and enter a 70 yard skid, in a 30 zone, i'll be much happier if you are never allowed back on the roads..... ever.
