Right this is one for the single blokes who lives alone. I moved to Cardiff almost 2 years ago and first thing I bought was HDTV/XBOX/Beer Fridge.

Now I only bought the things I need up until today where I went to Ikea and managed to spend best part of £500 buying tables/chairs/rugs/dvd stands. I was shocked I spent so much!

Yes the house looks more like a home now but think of all the beer/wine I could have got :p

I guess everyone does that when they go there? :o

The one in warrington is tiny compared to others in the country, so I'm told by adventurer's who get lost in the "find the till quest"

I've only put up the DVD stands and put down the rug so I'll get pictures tomorrow when I try and setup the coffee table and dinner fold out table thing.

IKEA's been pretty much designed so customers end up doing that, hence why they are so hard to navigate and find shortcuts. When I worked there, by the time people got to my department they were constantly asking for trollies cos they picked up so much stuff they didn't intend to get in the first place lol

I have a love/hate relationship with Ikea.

I love some of the stuff they do (and the fact they do odd but very useful bits cheap), but absolutely hate the layout of the place, despite now knowing the shortcuts, it's still a mammoth task going in to get something.

Every time i go to Ikea there seems to be more people waiting at the checkouts than i've seen in the store. Those queues are damn annoying, sometimes you think you've picked the right queue before having to wait half an hour for someone to find a barcode.

It's not a shop, it's a day out.

Argh ... I hate that when I go there to get something ... you think that you'll nip in grab what you want and leave, (and I've been to my local one enough to know my way around and where what I want will likely be), and you get stuck behind families treating the place like a day out / adventure playground ... GET OUT THE WAY :mad::mad:
