Howard was amazing, loved Green's cake blowout one though.


I couldnt stop laughing when i seen that.


I think Howard should have put that little basket up to 12ft and dunked a small ball in that and at the same time dunked in the 10ft one just to show that he could have done it if they allowed him to raise the basket.


Moon and Gay, especailly Gay where pretty disapointing to be honest.

Tell you what Gerald Green can certainly get up though. If he would have done that first throw the legs without his shoes on it would have been much better.


But in the end Howard was just stupidly inovative. :D:cool:
 
I love the creativity in dunk comps. My friends and I always tried our best, but unfortunately we're not tall enough to get enough height/time to do anything overly flash. Brings me back to singing skee-lo - "I wish" :D Bah, I'm touching 6'1" so I'm still happy with my efforts. It is so much easier if you're 6'6"+ end of.

I love the NBA dunk comps - I might actually go through some of the old vids of past tonight! :D

Like Howard just thinking to himself i wonder if I could throw myself and ally oop and when give myself another one off the back board and then dunk it. It makes you wonder what else he can do.

Tell me about it im 6' / 6'1" myself and the hardest thing I find is palming the ball because I dont have the hands the size of a guy who is 6'6" i always lose control of it and I end up just trying to throw it down and the ball either goes god knows where or I manage to throw it against the other side of the rim to where my hand hits.

Makes it very difficult when you find it hard to palm the ball like me. But with practise and my vert back to what it used to be and steadily increasing hopefully ill get this palming jazz down soon.
 
I'm lucky as I've got quite big hands so palming is ok for me, but I tend to use 2 hands as I'm a 2 foot jumper it's easier, I haven't got the fluidity for a 1 foot take off, I'm more of a power forward really (15st) so I need a 2 foot take off anyway. If you get high enough palming is less of an issue, try some allez-oops? Or work on your rise and try a 2 hander. If you can get one wrist to ring level you should be able to reach with 2 hands. I find jumping is more about technique and timing - though some explosiveness helps if you manage to do some squats and calf raises as well as some power cleans.

I can get up high enough its just the timing and technique of being able to get the ball to ctach the ball in one hand and throw it down... especailly when i have to move my body / arm in the air to catch the ball and once ive got it in my hand sort of.

My vert has been increasing since i came to uni and i think its back to what it used to be before my feet died so hopefully it should carry on increasing to a point where I can concentrate less on jumping and concentrate more on getting a hold of the ball properly.
