Just got back from OcUK with a Gainward 9600GT 512Mb.

Pics :

As you can see it does have HDMI onboard along with a single DVI and TV out.

Included in the box is the card itself, driver disc, molex to pci-e power thingy, and the HDTV breakout cable.

Just going to install then i'll be back with some benchies :)

Cool... I'd be interested to see how noisey they are, as all the reviews Ive read dont say.

Also, do they have sound over the HDMI?

Will be interesting to see mate! :)
The Gainward card does look like an attractive package I do like the HDMI onboard :)

Lanz I believe Guru 3D said they were around 42dec load or something so not bad at all

Gainward look to put a lot of effort in the design of their cards which makes a change from the standard cards, i like the onboard HDMI and the cooling looks to be very good.

Right back with a few benchies. At the moment the card is at stock and my CPU @ 3.2Ghz

Ive got the figures for my 8800GT and GTX to compare against. Im also including the pair of 8600GTS cards ive just took out as a comparison as well as the 2 cards together also total 64 streams.

Crysis OcUK Benchmark :

8600GTS SLI : 23 FPS
8800GT : 42.35 FPS
8800GTX : 38.26 FPS ( strange but true )
9600GT : 30.03

So the 8800GT is quite a way ahead in this test but the 9600GT suprasses the pair of 8600GTS's

3DMark06 :

8600GTS : 9115
8800GT : 11204
8800GTX : 12006
9600GT : 9919

Pretty much the same story here.

Let me know if theres any others you want doing and i'll oblige if i have the game :)

Really must resist the tempation to get another :p

With regards to sound over HDMI, this dosent come with a pass thru cable to connect to the motherboard like the 8600 did. :)

Looks good, overclock it to the max and do Crysis benchmark again. Would you say its worth the money you spent on it?

Deffo worth the cash considering i should get bk for the 8600 cards. The card wasnt excessivly noisy either, in fact i couldnt hear it ramp up when 3d stuff kicked in :)

Do you have Oblivion mate?

If you do, could you run it with all the settings maxed at 1680x1050 and just walk around outside for a few minutes and see what average fps you get?

Ok, mild overclock to 700/2000 gives :

Only 2.62 extra FPS on crysis and about 500 pts on 3dm06. Its probably got more in it i just want to see what others get thiers up to first :)

Ive got oblivion, i'll give it a go later. Not sure if my FRAPS works with vista tho

Under that chunky heatsink enclosure, is the heatsink just the same as this one?

Similar, i tell you what it is, remember the OcUK 7900GS cards they had a while back with the big chunky black heatsinks on them? They are like those.
