Using Anonymouse website I can read various other sites now, and to be honest the ThinkBroadband site is a good place to see shedloads of people complaining.

Well i been set free

Dear AOL Member,

You contacted us recently asking for a MAC (migration authorisation code) to enable you to migrate your broadband service to another ISP.

We can now confirm that your migration code is ************/**** and you need to use it by 25/03/08. Please note that if you use this code and you are still within your minimum contractual commitment period, any outstanding amounts due under your AOL Broadband Agreement will be debited from your payment method on or shortly after your first billing date after migration has taken place.

Recieved a Wireless Routerand then went from 2mb's to 8mb's on Friday with the option of grabbing my mac by the 29th. Still considering it, apart from not being able to get on some sites the stability/speed has been much better.

right, I'm going to ring aol now I've had enough, hopefully they'll do something, what can I say so they dont fob me off with things like its a browser/computer/router issue.

If your calling AOL and they try to fob you off with the usual its your browser/cookies/computer/blow in your USB cable carp, tell them it is not the browser or anything else they suggest thats causing the issue because doing a ping to these sites brings 100 percent packet loss and also a tracert shows timeouts.

Ping and tracert do not use any browser, so that eliminates their theory.

I'd also suggest you tell them you have done a ping and tracert for testing purposes, so they can cut their ******** about possible stupid reasons. If enough customers complain, they might do something about it, and with the ping and tracert as proof they cannot say it is a browser/computer/router issue.

Hope this helps
