there is no graphical increase between 10.1 and 10.0, as far as i've been told its only things to add functionality and choice... not much to yay about tbh

Point I was making is that they release a 9xxx graphics card, supposed to be a new generation of cards, and they can't even put 10.1 support.

The 9 series were never going to be a new generation, they were always going to be 8800's, which don't have Dx10.1.

The guys at Expreview ran 06 with the 9800 GTX and scored 14000k, this is looking more like the GTX is just GTS in different packaging, really embarrassing for Nvidia if true.

Tried that, didnt go too well tbh, was getting full screen freezes from tiny overclocks, must have had a **** gpu.

I think when 3D marks test's hit 14K+, and in the late "teens", it's about time for futuremark to give us a new bench test, 3Dmark 08/09?

I get over that from my Ultra , Ok my CPU has quite a heavy O/C . I am sure of if i was runnig a quad at my CPU freq i would be close to 16K on a single card .

As someone has already said in another thread, its much better to withold the "omg lol" judgements untill the card is actually released, and can be tested with drivers that were actually intended for that card. I somehow doubt they did that bench with release drivers...

Its still very hit and miss, if the game has no sli optimization then the second card will do nothing but provide moral support, if the game has good suport then it scales well, it all depends on what game's you play.
In my experience SLI is not worth it, thats not fanboy fud it's just the way it is.

NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GX2 Launch Delayed Until March 18th
VR-Zone informs that the upcoming GeForce 9800 GX2 launch will be delayed again till March 18th. No reasons was provided by NVIDIA, but the delay is probably due to driver issues. Right now, according to unconfirmed reports the card is scoring about 14k+ in 3DMark06, which is lower than Radeon HD 3870 X2.

That was a great card, don't know why people give it stick now.
