GeForce 9800 GTX Card Photos & Specs Unveiled

The guys at Expreview ran 06 with the 9800 GTX and scored 14000k, this is looking more like the GTX is just GTS in different packaging, really embarrassing for Nvidia if true.

More than 10%

Even though the BUS is 256 the ram (good for 2400+) AND THE FASTER CORE WILL MAKE UP FOR IT.

Lets just wait for the benchies shall we..;)

;)

I just cant believe it, I wont believe this, I just cant see how they can call a 8800GTS 512 a 9800GTX, does this surely not mean an 8800Ultra is faster? They going to bring out an 9800Ultra with 1Ghz core or something?

I'll believe it when I see a picture of the card that isn't a blatant photoshop. :o

Edit: Actually, doesn't this mean that ATi will still have the fastest single card in the world? :o:o:o

How can they call this a 9800 GTX if the specs are true?

unless they release this, then an ultra soon after? but even then surely the ultra will just be an overpriced card with a tiny speed boost :(

Why not?

ATI did very similar moving from 2800 to 3800 series.

There was little more than a die shrink and slight bug-fixing between their 1800 and 1900 series also.

Not that I'm defending nvidia or anything. If these specs are close to true I'll be very dissapointed. I'm just saying it shouldn't come as any surprise - Jose public doesn't know or really care about real benchmarking, but he does know that GF9 is better than GF8.

The bottom line is all that counts for big companies.

It could be good for people who wanted to go 8800GTX SLI but couldn't afford it before, there will be a lot of people selling there 8800GTX's for one of these thinking its an upgrade.

So is the 98XX series all that's coming from nvidia in 2008? What about ATI's offering? Are we going to get more goodies from them this side of Christmas?

I'd expect the real deals will come out around Christmas, I just want NVIDIA to get these rehashes out fast then we can get onto the really juicy steak instead of pussy footing around with old dated worn out tech.

Would it really be that hard for them to at least add more memory and beef up the bus to go with it.

REALLY?

I mean that might even SHOCK HORROR beat the previous gen GTX

Imagine that.

ugh
