I am more concerned about destroying such a beautiful planet than humans.
Another classic nuclear war film is an animated film called when the wind blows, its pretty grim

Yes, to the OP.
I empathise a little, for some reason my brain works that way. The thought does come up every so often (similar to the musings of my own mortality), however I am generally reassured by the concept of mutually assured destruction. Also the fact that Russia ain't what it was.
Threads was great for its time, I can't imagine living under the threat as it was in the 60's up to the 80's when I was born.
I would add though I don't fear it, as if it did ever happen you'd be dead either way. All men have to die somehow.
I concur, I think it's not say my own death, but the thought of everything you've ever known and loved being obliterated. It's the thought of everyone just being gone I guess.
You have to wonder if it's actually possible for two nations with "sane" leaders to actually execute a "MAD" (mutually assured destruction) scenario.
I'll be impressed if you can justify that in some way.![]()
I don't think would be a nuclear war now, I think its only a matter of time till someone sets off an RDD. They however, are nothing really in comparison. Terrorists getting hold if missiles is doubful imo. Does still cross my mind though.
thats because the missle is much more complicated/expensive than the nuclear warhead contained inside it
