what fps does a 8800 get at cod 4

it can help covering maps quicker, less recoil on weapons.better jumping.few other points.

tripe, resolution and detail do nothing to recoil, its tied into in game callibration tied to the engine and the way it is made, if you could stop recoil or lesson it it would be classed as cheating, as the hacks that stop recoil do.
As for jumping, it might be better because of your perseption of the world you are in at a res of 800x600 but that is purely down to your preferance of res and not the FPS it is running at.
i found controling recoil hard when i moved to 1680x1050 because of the added accuracy needed, it has nothing to do with my FPS and after a day or 2 adjustmant took place and its no differant now!

right so say a tree with full detail on more bushy harder to see through.no detail get where im going.so its tripe okay last post about it cause you wont except the benefit.clanbase wanted it banned cause of the advantages it gives you.but it doesnt give you an advantage so why ban it.doesnt matter now its not worth the hassle.

Ive shot people theough trees on pipline, in the warehouse at the front of the map in the big open window, as they have snuk behind the tree aiming for team mates at the other side next to the hut with the stairs that lead underground. ive had no problem whatsoever seeing them to aim at and im on high detail etc, so i dont follow you.
I find that the fact the tree is a more loose nit object that has independant moving branches and leaves makes it better to notice movemant behind. the fact that the computer is working harder to keep track of those branches/leaves means that the higher settings add to the ability.

Who knows i might be alone in that though but i dooubt it, in modern games i dont see how you can benefit from blurry images and jaggerd lines running at frame rates your eyes cant notice!

Your FPS in CoD games makes a huge difference. You CAN jump further/higher with 125, 250 or 333fps. You CAN shoot faster with certain fps. ~>Dg<~ hasnt been smoking anything.

The jumping thing was true in the original cod1 as the engine wasn't too heavily modded from the original quake 3 engine. The engine has been changed so much now i doubt it works anymore.

it doesnt, maybe back then, id even go as far as to say it would be possible on the basis of timing your jumps but over 125fps the fps will have little to no impact atall over the game. id give you £100 if you could tell the differance between a scene running at a steady 125fps and the exact same scene running at 250fps, actually now i think about it for serious FPS gamers clans are a staple.... meaing clan match's are a staple, at a minimum playing in servers that challange you youll be kicked for bunnyhopping long before you get your game in the swing of things.

The pc version is far superior to the console version and ive played all 3, ps3 xbox and pc

if you were as serious about game performance as you say youd be using a 19" CRT

I'm telling you your FPS does make a huge difference. You wont be able to see the difference between 250 and 333 but you can feel it when moving, jumping and shooting. Any serious CoD gamer will tell you that.

crt for the win.. mates just tested his 8800 gts 512mb and he gets 500-600fps.so gt should do it easy.this is for public servers not cb or matches.
