There are a couple of bargains to be had at H&B sometimes, although I agree most, if not all their products are of poor quality. You only need to do the maths to realize that. I mean how on earth can they afford to have 80% off sales almost constantly and still make a profit? ;)

Their fish oils are a bargain though if you get them at right time. 500 caps for £7.50 (RRP £30) I bought loads of them. Ok they might not be the best quality but at that price I'm willing to take a chance.

I also got some Evening Primrose Oil 500x1000mg for £7.50. That should last me at least a year!

Their milk thistle is worth a punt aswell at that price, I bought a big tub ages ago and still have loads left.

Not much else I'd touch though.

pretty much my opinion, like i said the rest of the store wasnt far off a joke, but fish oil is fish oil, the marked ingredients match the standard MP fish oil. The GsS and MT seem fine too. Stuff like that you can pretty much buy on price. No matter how good the sale i dont think their p[rotein would ever be worth it lol

It's cheap and nasty, and still more expensive than myprotein.

Should read the whole post, i too use the slang term "wow thats almost as expensive as holland and barrett" but in this case the prices were well worth it.

MP= 90x1000mg for 3.99
H&B = 120x1000mg for £3

Shouldn't ignore things just becausethey are abnormal. If OCUK suddenly did standardized WPC 80% at half price of MP id buy it in a second and so, i think, would you
 
cod liver oil isn't the same as omega 3 fish oil ;) (and shouldn't be used in its place).
Yeah good point. Cod Liver Oil is one that definately needs sourcing for quality, I only take a 500mg cap once every few days. I eat loads of liver anyway.
Cod Liver is extremely rich in Vitamin A and D, max you should take is one cap a day. Where as fish oils anywhere from 6 and lots of people recommend 20 when looking to drop bodyfat.
 
Damn. Was at the gym yesterday and my m8 managed the full damn stack on the lat pull for 1 rep of 176KG. Wish I filmed that.
 
Starting HIT this Thursday, complete opposite to my last training routine.

Using a 4 day split over 3 days...

Tuesday - Back, Rear Delts
Thursday - Chest, Biceps
Saturday - Legs
Tuesday - Shoulders, Traps, Triceps

Back, Rear Delts

Bent Over DB Row (1 warm-up, 1 to failure)
Bent Over DB Laterals (1 warm-up, 1 to failure)

Wide Grip Pull Ups (1 warm-up, 1 set to failure)
Deadlift (1 warm-up set, 1 moderate, 2 heavy sets)

Chest, Biceps

Bench Press (1 warmu-up, 1 moderate, 1 to failure)
Incline DB Press (1 warm-up, 1 moderate, 1 to failure)
Incline DB Flyes (1 to failure)

Incline DB Curls (1 warm-up, 1 to failure)
Barbell Curls (1 warm-up, 1 to failure)

Legs

Squats (1 warm-up, 2 moderate, 1 to failure)
Lunges (1 warm-up, 2 heavy sets)
Calf raises (2 sets to failure)

Shoulders, Traps, Triceps

DB Arnold Press (1 warm-up, 1 to failure)
DB Lateral Raise (1 warm-up, 1 to failure)

Dips (1 warm-up, 1 moderate, 1 to failure)
CGBP (1 warm-up, 1 to failure)
Shrugs (1 to failure)

All lifts with 3+ second negatives and explosive positives.

Damn. Was at the gym yesterday and my m8 managed the full damn stack on the lat pull for 1 rep of 176KG. Wish I filmed that.

My only gripe with this really - why not do weighted chins instead?
It is so much better utilising mavity and body weight than a lat pull machine.

I do weighted chins. My m8s always doing his back though, does like 100+ chins each time weighted. I know it's not a proper workout doing 1 rep on a lat pull machine lol but it's gotta be a record for my gym imo, only person I know who can do that.

My plan is mainly all around and the person at the gym said my diet does not seem bad.

Yea will do later, got to go abck to gym take a photo of it, hard to remember, I'm worried I wont remember what stuff to go on. I got weighed and ummm, according to the statsa I am 13.2stone, 5ft 9, BMi of 27 and obese :eek:.

Dunno. Tbh I don't really do them that much but he don't do 100 in a row, usually just like in between sets etc. I've done it a few times well, from my gym session I did abotu 120 in total doing lots and eventually just doing 5 reps nearing the end.

BMI is usually a waste of time tbh. Im like 23 according to the online ones which is JUST in the healthy range yet im 9% body fat, 13 stone and 6ft 2.
