SPL Season 2007/2008 Thread **Spoilers**

Just because you're paranoid .......... :D

The Refs are trying to get Boruc banned in time for the games against Rangers, it's a conspiracy I tell you. Heck, we'll have to watch out for the sniper in the book depository just in case the Holy Goalie manages to stay out of trouble before those games come up.

I just pointed out the inadequacies in refereeing when rules are bent and then strictly adhered to on different occasions. Can you seriously claim that all referrees are fair and impartial?

Rise above it? We have mate and this year it'll be three in a row. :D

What I find amusing is that Tommy Burns said leave off the Refs they are doing a good job then following week wee strap on has to have a go.

Bet he still aint loved by the support :D

Wee Gordon might not be my favourite as he continues to field players who are either not up for the job or are going through a bad patch. Chop and change and keep them on their toes I say. Still, we have been grinding out the results and I expect us to regain the form we have shown in a few 5-1 demolitions. Three in a row here we come.

His quips with the commentators are legendary though and he has every right to question iffy decisions that a certain other team have gotten away with.

Of course they are impartial and as fair as they can be.

You seem to mix up the fact that they are utter crap at being referees with some paranoid dillusion that they favour Rangers.

It appears that Cousin broke his jaw agaisnt Bremen midweek and will face a month on the sidelines. Quite disappointing to lose him for the second leg against Bremen.

C*ltic 0-0 Dundee Utd

Great result for Rangers, the hooped horrors dropping points at home in the run in with a crowd of around 30 thousand. :D

We shall express our gratitude to Dundee Utd on Sunday by presenting them with some nice shiny runners up medals. ;)

As much as i admire Eddie Thomson, i`m affraid it`s a runners up medal. :D

Feel free to slaughter me mercilessly on Sunday though, should i be proved wrong. I still remember Brewster (aided by Ally Maxwell) scoring the winner and destroying what would have been 2 trebles in a row for Rangers.

Dundee Utd were totally written off in that final too. :(

I`m still going for a comprehensive Rangers win.

Heart says Rangers win. Head say Rangers win.

So there you have it. Just hope we aint too hungover from reaching last 8 in Uefa :D

Ok lets see your predictions for this weekend`s old firm match.

I`m gonna go for 2-2.

I just don`t think we are playing well enough at the moment to win against a C*ltic team that cannot afford to lose.

Rangers 1-1 Celtic

I agree it will be a draw, which suits both teams in the short term. As for the rest:

Falkirk 2-1 Kilmarnock
Hearts 0-0 Dundee United
Inverness 0-1 Aberdeen
Motherwell 1-3 Hibernian
St Mirren 3-0 Gretna

Not SPL but the Hammer aka Jorg Albertz has signed for Clyde and has been producing some of his trademark free-kicks :D.

Thanks to St Mirren for finally confirming what everyone has known since about a month into the season, Gretna are now officially relegated.
Hearts win again which is always pleasing and Dundee Utd had two men sent off, particularly stupid to do so at the very end of the game.
Looks like the game between Inverness and Aberdeen was game of the day in the SPL though, not often I'll ever have to say that phrase again I hope. :D

Great result for the Gers today, now 6 clear and a game in hand with only 9 to play to include 2 OF games at Parkhead. Still don't rate Broadfoot he was run ragged today by McGeedy and looked so slow.

All credit to Brown for staying on his feet and not diving for the Penalty, mentioning no names Thompson, but if he had of gone down that was a dead cert pen and would have been us down to 10 men. And yes Thompson took a dive and a free ride off on the stretcher don't believe he was injured just more ashamed and trying and succeeding in avoiding a justified second yellow. Looks like it's going to be our year :D

Did I hear correct Hearts £36M in Debt?
