I want to hear all about them, post all your info in here !

What's good, what's bad, which model to go for, what to look out for etc etc

3.0 must have ? auto ? DSG ?

Fancy some open top motoring for the Summer - budget up to 20k..

I never realised how many people on here were so unsure of their sexuality as to be afraid of owning a quality built 3.0 litre open top sports car ;)

I keep scanning though Pistonheads at these are I really fancy one for the summer, but I'm trying to cut my expenditure at the moment not incease it. I'm trying to find a new job where I commute by car, just to give me the excuse.

I'm looking at the 3.0i with standard suspension as it's supposed to be pretty stiff anyway and we've got too many speed bumps round here. I'm also looking to spend about £20k, and I keep finding myself looking at the Boxters and the SLK350s and thinking , why get a Z4 when I can have one of those? (Although admittedly the SLK would mean an extra £5k)

Seriously though, I think it's quite a handsome car; certainly one of the better BMW designs of recent years.

It's a two seater sports car so those with zero taste in cars will always brand them as "gay"!

To be honest I think the S2000 and the Z4 are the least "gay" 2 seater sports cars out there.

Spot on mate - alternative is get an open top TVR and then you're almost in danger of going the other way in terms of gay butchness...plus they are crap.

Why can't real men drive a modern open top sportscar without fear of being labelled gay ?

..anyways - getting OTT here. Anyone any useful info on these cars ?

..and Penski - if you're offering, be careful I might take you up on it ;)

What other people think is meaningless to be honest, I've really enjoyed the Z4 3.0 SE which I've owned for about 2 years.

Two seater open top sports cars, what happened to the golden age of motoring.... Austin Healy, AC Cobra, Mercedes 300 just to name a few. Nothing wrong with the current ones..:p
