Are some people luckier than others?

Your lack of skill is my luck :)

Always fun saying that to people who start screaming lucker etc on css, really peeves em ^^

You can't just pick out events that have psychological significance to humans as examples and disregard all other events that happen in the universe.

Like I said, luck does not exist - probability does though.

If there was a 1% chance of getting hit by a car, then getting hit by the car, just because the chance of getting hit by it is really small does that count as luck? It's nothing but probability.

I'm experiencing unluck an infinite number of times per second because I'm not contributing towards my winning of the lottery. But that's not exciting, so we won't ponder the magic.

Of course luck exists! How else do you explain the success of your enemies? :p

Some quote from somewhere, but forget where :p

I think some people are luckier than others, and some deserve it while others don't. I think it's only when people don't derserve it that you really notice though. :p

I'm sure scientists recently defined luck as a point in time 'when preparation meets oppurtunity', which in fact seems to make sense.

So if you want to be more lucky, you need to be more prepared, and create more oppurtunities for your self.

That also makes sense as well.
God: Let me ask you something. If someone prays for patience, you think God gives them patience? Or does he give them the opportunity to be patient? If he prayed for courage, does God give him courage, or does he give him opportunities to be courageous? If someone prayed for the family to be closer, do you think God zaps them with warm fuzzy feelings, or does he give them opportunities to love each other?

Strange this line came from a movie that was supposed to be a comedy.
