The more I read about you and driving the more I'm glad I dont live anywhere near you.

I think that's a bit unfair. If someone 'popular' like Lopez makes a post like that he's applauded yet when mister DannyW (edit) talks about cooking the brakes on a little Seat Arosa then he's a pariah?

Still a pretty useless post though since SB118's wife bought the car because it was "small and nice" and not for track days, road rallys and handbrake turns in McDonalds carpark :D.

This is a far better plan than buying old sheds that fall to bits all the time. Its cost you a bit more but it's a decent, solid car which will give you a good few years use without many hassles.

Good move.

I shouldn't mention we're thinking of running it for 6 months and then trying to sell it to get something around the 2000/2002 plate but in a 5 door (3 door is an absolute nightmare with sprogs) Unless of course we get some idiot pay the asking price, then we'll get something newer :D

Obviously I didn't mean from just that one post :)

a friend of mine had one as a company car, and try as we might, we could not kill it. clutchless shifts, bouncing the limiter in every gear it soaked up 30000 miles of it, and still got giiven out to someone else when he returned it on his promotion
