Just worked my 1st night at TESCO

i used to do nights at sainsburys, hated that though, the same music on the radio EVERY night, the same isle, the same stock, after a while you become a zombie

though theres nothing better than that feeling of finally getting home and putting your head on the pillow after working all night :D

Q F T! That was the best feeling ever, I used to work on the produce department which was quite heavy lifting all night 10pm – 8am, and it felt soooo good finally crawling into bed.

I found it became the most mind numbing repetitive soul destroying job. Suited me down to the ground while I was at uni doing 1 or 2 nights a week but during summer and after graduating I worked full time for the best part of a year and I really didn’t enjoy it. Money was ok for what it was but I don’t understand how some of the older folk that had worked there for 10+ years put up with it.

Well done mate, good honest job there.

I work at Marks and Spencer in Newcastle and its a good job, glad I came here, and cant see meself leaving.

I dont stack shelves though, I am Store Operations, deal with stock and deliverys and upkeep of store. Keep in there and the rewards will come.

What I'm doing now whilst I'm at uni.

I get the same thoughts about the colleagues who have just picked up their 'long service' awards. How do some people cope with being on a till, 35 hours a week, for 15 - 20 years?
