5kg of MP oats is £9.89, 5kg of Flahavans is £9.95, seems like ok value to me :p (except the MP stuff's ****in' lumpy).
Not such good value when you can buy Tesco value oats for about 40 pence a kilo though? I can also get organic oats (which in the case of oats is quite important and well worth paying the extra for) for half that price ;)

MP's are just regular old oats, probably exactly the same as Tesco value, and you're paying a 500% premium for them to grind them up... I'd call that poor value mate.
I've tried them in my blenders, they take absolutely ages and my blender smells like it's burning out. Grinding up loads of oats is a sure fire way of killing it in double quick time.... false economy?

Might depend on your type of blender, the two I have aren't really made for that kind of thing.

I blend up my oats as and when needed. For example in the morning when I make my smoothie I will put a cup of oats into the blender and blizt them for 10 seconds till they are like dust. Place the rest of the ingredients in and blend them in. Job done.

I'm lazy and just use MP oats :)

On a side note, I forgot how hard training to failure was, HIT is knackering!

I'll be interested to see how it serves me.

Yes! it does smell like its burning out, mine did the same. so thought **** it, MP fine oats arent really that wallet busting :]

Don't have time?! It takes about 3-4mins to make 2kgs. Still not got time? ;)

oh i take it you mean blend them all and store them, guess that would be ok, but nope i dont even have 3/4 minutes in the morning, yes i have very poor time management :p

True but a penny saved there can be spent on something else... like OKG! :D

Tbh I don't eat oats like that anymore anyway. I use Tesco organic Muesli (again super cheap!) and then I'll sprinkle loads of the organic oats on top. It tones down the sweetness of the muesli just perfectly and it's superb with ice cold milk ;)

Feeling really positive at the moment. A couple of the regulars came up today and told me "****ing hell dude you're looking massive" or something along those lines - which made me smile :D I was wearing a vest without a sweatshirt for the first time, so probably why they were surprised, I don't show much flesh at the gym.

I am feeling a lot stronger, and definitely leaner, not much vascularity though I do in some places - shoulders, forearms, neck. I'm holding a solid 95-96kg at the moment which at 1.85m is pretty good I reckon.

I don't really know at the moment if I want to carry on lifting heavy and med reps, or if I should concentrate on a bit of powerlifting or drop the weights and increase the reps. I still fluctuate between heavy and light weeks but I'm just happy with how I am at the moment.

Had the same Phillips blender for years now, blend oats all the time and never had any problems. Use it as and when is needed same as msm.

And as for Freefaller, it makes you feel good doesn't it? Positive comments do the world of good. Keep it up mate :)

not too worry, happens to the best of us. He banned me today for asking to be made man of honor.....2 Years and everything

I wouldn't be that cruel :p

Cheers Styles, it's nice to know that hard work sweat and tears pays off. :) It is hard work though, and laborious at times - watching your diet, eating well, sleeping well, training hard, doing things correctly etc... it's almost a full time job.

I get really excited to see family members, I hpe they say things like Oh been working out have we? Or gained a lot of weight I see?!!

I saw my grandparents this weekend gone and they told my mum she wasnt feeding me enough :(

lol! When my grandmother was alive she said the same thing all the time :D Always used to tell my parents off for not feeding me - if only she could see me now, bless her.

If I feel confident enough I might do an update in the pics thread.... I'll have to see how I feel in the weekend.

Yeah, I blitz 500gms at a time and store them in the container that my first (and only) MP oats came in! ;)

I've got a 2-speed Kenwood blender that was given to me, still going strong - false economy my ass!! :p
