GT5: Prologue Europe Extra Features

Ferrari f40 picture looks a bit meh tbh, characters look bland and the car looks a bit cross cartoony/real. Meh. I always thought gran turismo was a bit boring, played gt 1,2,3 and 4 and got uber bored about half way through every time.

I'm the same with every racing game, play it for a day or 2 but then practically every race is the same, i will be getting prologue but i will see if the full game offers anything extra before i buy that and i don't mean xxxx ammount of cars, they all do the same bloody thing, different tracks are great but i don't want to do every track in reverse for "variety"

Usually after you do the sunday cup you have finished 75% of the tracks, why do them all again?

If other genres did this we would complain

Being a 360 owner I take it you've played forza 2 then? Talk about bland and boring.... meh

To be fair, surely this will all become a moot point now that online play is being implemented? Every race will be different due to different opponents and playing styles.

What display are you using?
I have a 32" Samsung TV (not sure of the model number tbh) and it looks better in 720p than 1080i. My mate has a 37" LG which supports 1080p, although I think it upscales, and it also looks better in 720p.

Very limited testing on my part I know, so it could well be different on different TV's etc.

I thought that generally 720p always looked better than 1080i?

On a big 1080p screen the higher res that GT5 allows MUST look better than 720p as its... higher i guess.

You propably have a 720p LCD so it is best to play at 720p instead of 1080i but on your frinds LCD it should look better in 1080p though if he really has a 1080pLCD and not a 720p/1080i

Yup, the 32" will only have 768 horizontal lines and will scale 1080i signals down and will usually do it quite badly. 720p is closer to 768 so will of course look better as you are pretty much seeing it as it is intended. I would suggest to everyone to use 720p if you dont have a Full HD set unless you have a high end tv that scales well.

It sounds like the 37" LG accepts a 1080p signal but scales it down.

You just had to bring Forza down with it didn't you.
Considering all the Forza vs GT5P screenshot comparisons around the place, it was a very valid statement. People have been directly comparing the two over and over again and rightly so, they are deemed to be the consoles most prolific racers. So, have your rolleyes back mr happy

Look what car someones found in the PAL GT5P game 9from a preview )

Brrrm Brrrm!

I wonder if and its a big if, as Sony has the F1 rights for a couple of years imagine if PD had all the F1 cars and tracks for the release of the full GT5. GT5 and F1 GP now that would be a killer combo IMO.

Nice thinking mate, could be. Maybe there is a few tasters in Prologue just to test it out and see how it works. I'm an F1 nut anyway, so am dieing to see this!:D

Have they fixed the shadow's in replay mode yet? looked well dodgy on the Japanese version, I must admit I've not really played my Japan version I just can't break past the language barrier no patience for it. :o
