what constitutes cheating? a snog in a club? or full on sleeping with someone else.

Not that i've ever done either of the above whilst with someone

They're not stats, they're a rant based on what he claims is personal experience. As several people have already pointed out. A quick google gives me loads of sets of figures, with little relationship between them, but ALL show men ahead of women. As several people have pointed out, the problem here may lie with the OP.

Cheatings a weird topic, 1st of all why is it the 'done thing' to be with one person (religious influence im guessing), when (as it happens so much), humans are just not designed to me monogmous?, everyone to one level or other feels like they'd wanna just jump on someone else at some point in a relationship, weather they do it or not is another thing.

Also I guess in relationships one person or the other 'wears the trousers', or is the more dominant one (not in a dodgy way ! lol), more often than not iv seen this 'more dominant' character be the one that plays away from home.

An interesting insight into human behavoir cheating is, humans a, such random species,lol

Actually that's not the end of the thread, but good try.

There are theroies abound that i've seen on TV programs multiple times that it's built into female nature to recognise specific genes (ie, attractive ones) to pass onto their children.
 
at the end of th day people are going to cheat if they feel its worth it and there is an oppertunity!
I've been hit on whilst married and i have said no. Previous relationships i have cheated. Both times i have had the oppertunity. however since i got married its not been worth it! I am happy with my wife and really all i do is the occasional flirting but it will never go anywhere.

in previous relationships i didnt have a lot to lose and i got away with it 9/10 times!

The same goes for women - do i think my wife has cheated - no. Do i think she is ever going to cheat - time will tell. Do i think she looks at other guys - yes.
 
You'll never stop her looking at other guys. Its sad to say but she will always compare. Somtimes you will come out on top, sometimes you won't.

I dont believe the 50/90% at all, only a very small percentage of the people I know would ever consider cheating. But it's a fair point to say women have an easier time finding someone to cheat with if they wanted to..
I will admit to having cheated on previous partners but only with one guy who I was a bit nuts over, so really I should have never been in the other relationships in the first place... on the positive side I'm now in a relationship with this other guy who I'm still nuts over and would never dream of cheating, why the hell would I want to when I'm with someone who is amazing and makes me so happy. People only cheat when they are unhappy which means there is already a problem in the relationship, but there are also a few complete weirdos who cheat for the sake of it but then they just need a good slap.

I'm screwed then!

I always thought that more men cheated, it could just be that i know more guys that have cheated than women.
