Finally got myself an N95 8Gb, left oranage and now on O2. Got it free on £35 a month tarriff.
Got it instore yesterday, during the sign up she didnt open the box, i wasnt bothered as I already knew it was the phone I wanted. I got home, broke the seal and started using the phone, went out last night so didnt use it much, took it to work this morning, I looked at it later in the morning and noticed marks on the top, tried to wipe it off and realised it was scratched, wth? It had lots of fine scratches around the speaker opening and light sensor, then I thought infact most of the phone looked a little shabby. I couldnt understand, have I managed to ruin it in less than a day? The phone looked like it had 2 -3 months of hard use, no way I did that I thought. I finished work at 2 and went straight back to the shop with the phone boxed up. The girl in the shop tried to say it was just the finish of the plastic, she compared it to another new one and said it wasnt much different, showed it to the manager and they said they wouldnt swap it, i pointed it out more to the manager and said its clearly scratched, then she said "oh yea, I thought u meant on the top, we will change it for that" Maybe she was trying to fob me off.
The box deffinatly had a proper Nokia seal, how could this have happened? a used phone getting mixed up with a brand new one at Nokia's factory?
Since getting the replacement I also noticed the slide feels much more positive, the old one felt like it had some wear already.
Glad I got it sorted in the end, and loving the phone dispite the hiccup.
