May be a tad cynical but what if :-

All this was planned by the family? You know, hide her away with a 'distant relative' with instructions that if anyone knocked on the door to hide under the bed. Then she can be "found", reunited with the family who are then free to sell their story to the highest bidding tabloids.

Oh how freaking convienient for them to appear the day another girl is found and gets all the medias attention. They sicken me.

And how exactly does the "distant relative" extricate himself from all of this without legal consequences?
 
Firstly, great that she is found alive.

Secondly, all the family/neighbours all seem to struggle to put a proper sentence together. Is this area a total chav city or what??

There's plenty of ways he can get a rather lenient 'slap on the wrist' sentence if he hasn't 'touched' her in any way. Hell, he could claim mental illness and say she just turned up on his door and being a concerned, albeit mental, relative he took her in and looked after her.

Who knows?

Looks like it.

When they were on the news there was a bunch of chavs in the background with big bottles of cider and wine bottle. They all seem to be getting drunk because that girl has been found.

Just an excuse to get drunk and disorderly tbh.
 
I find it quite interesting the contrast here between the mcanns (rich, posh family with loads of cash and good jobs) and this family mother has 7 kids to 5 different men etc on council estate= branded chavs..


I do keep up with the news but I have to admit I never knew anything of this case until today. Whereas the madeline case was shoevd down everybodys throats, risen to celeb status and even a special visit to the pope, etc. Spew.

Yeah but if they want a big celebration they have to do something out of the ordinary - they are probably drunk and disorderly every day!

I thought there was something fishy about this quote:
"Believe it or not, where she's been found, I'd actually been in that area a number of times and probably just walked straight past the house that she was in."
It kinda sounds like he was in on it.

I thought this too however, the family don't appear to be that intelligent...

I'm still a bit cynical of the step father though.

It's mad, the contrast between the media coverage of this story and that of the McCans.
 
I don't believe that the family are intelligent enough to have kept the facade up for so long.

Me neither. They're a bunch of lower class beatniks. I'm all for believing the McCanns were behind it but between them, this lot have the IQ of a bowl of cornflakes.

exactly what me and my missus thought.. like you say at least she is ok, but i dont understand why she is now in care? i know if my son got taken away from me like that the last place he would be would be in care..didnt the mother see her for like a couple of hours then she was taken to care?

I suppose with it being her stepdad's uncle (allegedly) they thought she was at risk still whilst at home.
 
Not read all the replies but guys on another forum called the family "dole monkeys cashing in on the maddie case" :eek: I could see how it is a possibility but would anyone really go that far?
