Sounds elegant but what does that mean? Does doing the weekly shopping count? Or a game of strip poker?
To me that means any sort of intimacy beyond a 1 second friend hug
or doing something you know your partner wouldn't approve of even if it was shopping with another man/woman/manbearpig...

Agree ,I have had about 20 gfs and as far as I know none have cheated on me !
Although one did come home with a small loverbite after a night out so maybe one !
Oh and anther had a boyfriend in the army that I did not know about !

what about going to a stripclub? what about if say your mrs doesnt like the O-levels or A-levels, woudl it be cheating to get them off someone else?
Nail on the head, and women do this a lot more often than men. Guys tend to be more serious when they go into a relationship in my opinion.
I think the problem is there are a few guys 'players' who cheat a lot and most guys don't yet with girls rather than having a small proportion of 'players' there is a larger proportion of them that cheat but to a lesser extent.
For example the player would have 10 on the go at once but a girl might only cheat once or twice or have one night stands and say it didn't count.
I can't emphasise enough how a lot of girls (at least girls my age- ~20) have a sliding scale for what they consider cheating. The scale goes a bit like this, a kiss doesn't count, sex doesn't count if you were drunk but does count if you were sober and if the guy "deserved it" it also doesn't count.
So before you flame me please consider that I'm saying there's probably an equal proportion of cheating going on in terms of number of times someone has been cheated on yet with men it's concentrated to a smaller number of guys but more often. Also women (my age) are a lot more insecure than men hence feel the need to be in a relationship, I don't have documentational evidence of this but it's pretty obvious from my own and friends experiences with women and noticing how guys don't mind being single as much.
Regardless of how right and wrong my opinion is, cheating itself is far from the more important problems we have in regards to male-female interaction.
I think the most important thing is that men prefer to cheat physically whereas women prefer to cheat emotionally meaning they will lead you on to feed their ego until you stop satisfying their desire for attention and love. You could argue one way or the other but I think leading someone on and cheating emotionally is a lot worse than just cheating physically with a one night stand one time.
You can actually cheat on someone emotionally without a second person being involved, you simply lead them on into thinking a relationship is going somewhere and then end it- or stop talking to them so they go crazy missing you and you can feed your ego off of that.
It all comes down to lust, emotionally immature girls will be really into you one moment but a few months later they will stop being attracted to you- this is because the attraction was based on lust and feeling good about themselves (ego boost) based on attention given. To some extent this happens with both the sexes but being a guy I can't really attest to anything than from a mans perspective.

Yep it's so true for asian girls (but not all). I would have said the same thing but I'm scared of the flamers. But I'd argue that Bangkok is as bad (or worse) as the West as it's very Westernised and people cheat a lot, Japan is also very Westernised.
The best places in Asia, China and North Thailand (less Westernised there). Bangkok is most definitely the worst. Not only are they much less likely to cheat but they are also a lot less insecure so you don't need to spend ages chatting them up.
Problem is Asia is becoming Westernised so fast that eventually things will be almost as bad there so the best thing to do is get one within a few years, the alternative being to hunt for the rare honest British girl or wait until they are old enough (~30) to want to settle down but then they are all wrinkly
Basically all it comes down to is the more Westernised a girl is the less likely she is to settle down at our age.
I'm moving to China in May mostly for financial reasons (it's cheaper and my job is over the internet) but also because people are more emotionally secure. Not only is it easier to find a girlfriend but also easier to have a large group of female friends, I find it very difficult to have female friends in the UK but I guess I'm just a one off computer g33k with no social skillz innit.

Chang Mai is much better. I was being quite general though - I find, as you say, a lot of Western women are far too materialistic. Granted I've probably been with a few nightmares but when I go out with my sister and her lot, or other girl mates, I find they generally all have the same sort of ideas
