My copy of fifa08 is going in the bin, sick of it, unless you score the drag back you can not win.

I matched him in everything, he just scores lucky scrappy goals and I tried everything to score.

GG mate. My keeper was awesome.

Not sure how you can say I scored crap goals though.

First one was a header out of the box, my player picked it up and volleyed in from just inside the box.

Second was one on one and got a lucky rebound.

Third was a good lobbed through ball and an awesome chip over the keeper.

I certainly didn't do any drag back goals.
 
I am just saying though how strange the game is in terms of goals and what you score, my keeper has great stats but lets in shots your keeper saved, if anything my shots where harder to save.

Third goal I had given up by and went all out attack, 2-0 was a injustice.
 
I know. To be fair I don't quite know how my keeper made some of those saves. Ah well, that's football (FIFA 08) for you :)

Sorry about the delayed kick off btw, my batteries died just as it loaded. SO I frantically had to get some from one of the Scene it? buzzers :)
 
A "Drag Back" is a skill used to move the ball backward as you step backward.

A "Cut Back" is when you cut the ball back across goal for an easy finish.

I think people look too much into the "cutback" goal, there are plenty of ways to score, people have moaned about crossing play, wing play, what next????

At the end of the day your in a League Competition, you do what you need to do to get the results. I am pretty sure if Ronaldo realised that he could score 10 a game if he used the cut back he would be doing it week in week out and not a single person will moan.

If you don't like it, try looking at ways to defend against it. Its no worse than making a miss timed sliding tackle.

For some reason the league table says I've played 9 Although I have actually played 11!

One of them was a win - plazm1ck 1 - 0 rv41

One of them was a loss I think but I need to double check the league table when I get home! Can't remember who against though? Is there anyway to check :p

I just need to play Fubsy and Rump (on holiday now I think isn't he, do you know when he's back as I go away this weekend for a week!!). Fubsy when are you online next never see you on there haha!!

What are we doing for the next league?

Is there any way to play everyone twice? Maybe just by setting up two leagues in fifa, and then keeping the custom league, if we could have it so users can input scores, and have the other player confirm the scores, its a good way to work (they have this on dvdforums in old pro evo leagues i played).

If we can play each other twice id like to see another 2 new players come in (or 12 if we can) and have 3 or 4 leagues of 10 playing each other twice.

I don't know whats going on with the league table, I update them as if they were live, it's getting to the point now where I i'm not blaiming myself for this!! Can you check your wins, losses and draws please and update me.

That goes for everyone now actually..
