*Next FIFA league, thoughs and opinions please*

Right, I'm yet to speak to Rumple but will do hopefully tonight but before I do it, it would be good to get some general comments from you guys who will participate in the league.

Players
I think this league has been quite successful; the only problem was, as usual, people not dedicating enough of their free time to playing their games. I've given up with trying to get my last game played. I've also had to chase a lot of people up to play their games, it gets a little frustrating at times as I shouldn't feel like I'm looking after kids! ;)
If you can’t commit to playing a 10 minute match every other day, please do join the league. Apart from students, most of us have 9-5pm jobs, so only available at night time, if you can’t play on night times it might be worth not joining the league, sorry.

Teams
We have learnt a few things from this league. Mainly that we can have duplicate teams, it could have been a lot more competitive this league if people hadn't have to choose the "poorer" teams.
What are people's thoughts on the next league in regards to teams, do they want a star capping? Are people happy to see duplicate teams? Personally I don't like playing with any team under 4*, I don't get any enjoyment out of it, it seems too hard work with crap teams but then I don't necessarily want to play Man U, Chelsea, Inter constantly. Where do you get a happy medium?

Leagues
League wise, I was going to suggest having a League A and League B of 10 players. I administrate one of the leagues, Rumple the other. The administrators are responsible for getting their troops (:D) to play their games etc. Once the league has finished, a Super League is created. Probably taking the top 5 from each league into the Super one.

Just my ideas so far.

Both teams consist of 14 players chosen randomley.
At the end of the league when all games are played the top seven from the two leagues will enter a "Premiership" league. Where as the bottom 7 will eneter a "Championship" league.
Players are asked to communicate with each player and get their games played reguarly.

The Premiership/Championship will run for 3 weeks with a quota of games per week to be completed as follows:
Week 1 7th - 14th March :5 games
Week 2 14th - 21st March :9 games
Week 3 21st - 28th March :13 games
Miss your quota for one week without correctly informing admins of why and your deducted 3 points, miss it again the following week and your going to be booted out.

What?? I don't dislike anyone! The only problem I had was when Gandy was throwing you invites, waited like 20 minutes, then you went offline with no message or anything :p
But that just boils down to communication, which again is a big problem with these leagues.
 
There are a couple of main reasons for two leagues.

1) We have two administrators responsilbe for their teams, all the organising will stay in one thread so the banter will be there but it's a hell of a lot easier to sort players if you only have 10 in your league.

2) Gives the league a bit more of a competitive edge, something to aim for. We could have a league for the bottom five in the league too if there was enough interest! A relegation league! :D

That's it, people don't want to be told they have to be a team, we all play friendlies against each other and choose our own teams. Thats the only way it will stay fun. I'd personally keep it as being able to choose whatever team you want. I'd rather play people constantly and get beat rather than beat them and never get to play everyone.

With the league placements being random you are running the risk of then having two leagues with semi active people playing. You'd be better having one league of active people, than having two leagues of semi active people.

Take the league as it is, the bottom 5 or so are inactive, spread that across two leagues and that's 10 people inactive.

I see where you're coming from but we don't want semi-active players as this just still ruins everything. We want fully active players and if we can only get 10 so be it. You know how hard it would be trying to get semi-active players to ever play? It's just not worth it.

The league can only be fair and a happy place if people choose their own teams, if there are duplicates, so be it.

I’m happy to play lower level teams, right down to 1 star bad lads :P I don’t know why that bothers people? I don’t find it any less exciting other than the fact that I am not playing with my team. It’s a challenge.

2 leagues sound good but I don’t think it should be based on the last league. Again everyone should be mixed and chosen out of a hat since this a new start.

EDIT: God theres been a lot posted since mine. Some of my thoughts might be out of date now :P

I don't think da_mic will give them up, if you have to play Newcastle one of nineteen matches, it shouldn't matter should it??

League wise, people shouldn't take it as being one worse than the other. It's not the case.

It will just cause people to lose interest as they'll be struggling away with a team their not used too. It will happen.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. This league was successful, people had fun apart from the bad losers and it should keep even more people happy if there not picking the left over teams this time around.

Nothing's set in stone yet, I'm expressing my opinion but if the majority want something I'll go with that. I know Rumple wanted a star capping in place and wasn't happy playing the same team constantly, although I doubt that would happen really.

If there are a lot of duplicate teams they can be seperated in the two leagues accordingly.

Other than that, choose whatever team you like, duplicates are allowed.

We really could use a mini-site for seeing stats, league tables, fixtures and the like. It would be difficult to maintain, but much easier to see what was going on. The in-game league table is awful.

Goal of the Season and such would be good - i'm sure I read you can upload replays. Perhaps I'm going bonkers.

You can't upload online replys which sucks, that all might be a bit too much effort :p

Would be good if you could mate? I'd like a more in depth table and list of results, I'd really interested to see my goal difference etc. EA really cocked up when they didn't include this. I could obviously of created a table with this but everyone would have had to put their results on here as FIFA only lists recent games.
