JUST INCASE ANYONE MISSED IT - THE REYLAND ESCOS HAS CRACKED 200 MPH AND JOINED AN ELITE CLUB! That's why Martin still messes around with ancient Fords!

First escos to do it, and I think he has the cos top speed record off gas as well! Fair play to the nutter! :D:D

There's a good reason why my car is with him now - he is THE best.

I have the utmost respect for those cars, engineering masterpieces in my book..

But, I'm just not that impressed with the whole 200MPH thing... just about anything these days can have that amount of engineering mods done to it and hit 200MPH...

Hell, jump on a hyabusa, spend just a couple of £K on it, and wallop past 200MPH...

If it was a total sleeper that did 200MPH It would 'mean' more to me..

Please don't take this as dissing the reyland cars, they are 100% superb and well engineered..

What impressed me far more then the 200MPH thing was the acceleration.. that's the really impressive thing!..
 
Its the acceleration, and the way it goes round corners. Its so impressive because it is not just a 1 trick straight line pony, but is really fast on the track too. There has been talk of trying for a 9 second 1/4 too this year. :)
