New Vauxhall Badge

Most GM cars over the world have the same base as the Vauxhall models we have in Europe, they're solid cars for their target market I reckon. See more newer Vauxhalls on the road than French tat these days.

Monaro is an awesome car btw. Local guy has one, pulls like a train and it's so smooth and responsive. Power barge.

Well yes, do you know how old the Opel badge is? This Vauxhall one is a 2008 one so of course it will be more 'modern'.

Well excuse me!

No I don't know how old it is, why don't you fulfill me? I really am listening with all ears!

It's entirely possible to design a new logo and have it look older and worse than the previous one. Just because it's a 2008 logo doesn't necessarily mean it's 'modern'.

I know you've conditioned yourself to appreciate mediocracy in cars but honestly, you have to agree that Vauxhall needs really good cars more than it needs a daft new badge :p

I never claimed they didn't :p

Maybe this new badge is part of preparations for their next range of cars that will blow BMW out of the water and drive them to bankruptcy :p

Who knows :D

Sure mate, it's over 40 years old in it's current guise! It's one of those simple designs like say Mercedes, Audi or BMW that don't need updating every 10 years or so. No doubt the Vauxhall one will change again in 10-15 years to keep some other design student in a job.

The badge is one thing, as many have mentioned, the grille is another!...

And I know there is no VX Love on here, but having owned a couple, I can honestly say they are certainly far better then average in their class, it's nice having a car that alledgedly doesn't handle etc, it's all the more surprising when they suddenly struggle to keep up..

sorry but they are not better then average no way, fords however are they offer a much nicer drive, cheaper and easier to fix, cheaper parts and servicing costs, and thats not me waffling have a look on parkers and what car, ive read vaux is 25% (on average) more expensive to repair then ford. i wouldn't be seen dead in a vaux they all look like cheap sales rep cars and the old ones (mk4 astra and corsa c espeically) just end up being driven by complete chavs and scum, whereas i have NEVER seen a chav in a focus or a mondeo.
