The only time I would use it is if I know what I'm looking for is the top option.
I must admit I just type and hit enter always. I'd never use it myself.
Each to there own I suppose.
Bookmarks + Google all the way imo. None of this "foru.. down arrow.. enter" business that some people insisit onIn this day and age theres no excuse for using the address bar.

I type a keyword into the firefox address bar and then it uses the function automatically. Use it quite a lot when I'm looking for a website but I don't know the exact URL.
I use the minus switch a lot (-buy -price -deals) to get rid of most of the results trying to sell me stuff
