one thing to say - ''ANPR''.

if its being ragged about as is, it would have been picked up by one of the thousands of anpr cameras going up daily along most motorways... but your car was most certainly stolen to order, and it will be in a container right now on its way to eastern europe. :(

don't suppose there where any cctv cameras near where it was stolen? one catching the license of the flatbed with your car on the back would be your best hope of retribution.

gutted for you anyhow mate.... :(
 
Im going have to get in touch with someone 'in the know' about these kinds of things. Im sure they wouldnt have let me get away with waiting 6weeks before I paid for the insurance in the first place!

Not meaning to rub salt into the ops wounds but this is flux for you i hear they suck when it comes to claiming. Cheap for a reason. Have you spoken to flux or the insurance co you have the policy with?

What the hell is the point of a courtesy car service if you have to go without for 6 weeks?

Meh, at least you wont have to offer to drive us to the pub for a while... ;)

That would be my suggestion, got any local shops that would be on the route out or such?

Apart from the fact the ST is one of the most sought after car for thieves. Alongside the CTR/Scoobies etc.
 
It's a real git that your car has been pinched - theft is a horrible thing, more the feeling of invasion than anything, I wouldn't wish it on anybody.

However, you can at least take small comfort from the fact that it is a mass produced hatchback that you can replace with relative ease. If it was a Mk1 Escort or something that wouldn't be so easy.

If it was stolen to order or stripped for parts it's long gone by now. When my old boss had his Audi A4 TDi stolen, the police arrived about 3 hours later and said then that the car was probably already stripped bare. It was never seen again.

6 weeks is good - my company Golf GTi Turbo, X reg (when it was almost new) got nicked and we had to wait 10 weeks until we got anywhere.
