Euro 2008 demo: out now

more like PES06 which is a great thing.. i liked fifa 08 and been a pes man forever but pes2008 is shocking

BEst fifa since world cup 98 :)
 
Immediately the passing is smoother and the ball seems to bounce very realistically.

The game also seems to be a tad quicker, but not stupid fast
 
The only thing wrong with FIFA currently, is the pace (needs to be a little faster), the movement of the ball is still sometimes a bit odd, they are not far off with it, so it sounds like a step in the right direction.
 
I have read so far elsewhere as im waiting for PSN demo.

* Multiplayer much better passing more responsive amazing passing moves can be achieved.
* Responsiveness so much better then Fifa 08
* Shooting is much more deadly now
* Graphics better then Fifa 08 close ups amazing
* Also game faster then 08 but not ridiculously fast

Sounding superb from what reading elsewhere. :)

That does sound superb. Really looking forward to giving this a go now. Hopefully paves the way for a fantastic Fifa 09.
 
New camera angle aswell that apparently zooms in and out so subtle that you don't actually notice it.

This sounds interesting. I got rid of PES 2008 cos it was crap, well not crap but buggy and online was hit and miss and FIFA 08 was ok but too slow and frustrating for me. This sounds like it could be spot on from the responses so far. I shall be downloading this when I get home from work.
 
Hmmm, not sure about the power bars for passing. One of the reasons I use automatic passing on FIFA 08 is because if you are trying to get a pass away quickly, you don't have the time to hold the button down for long enough to get any decent power on it.

I'd agree with all of that, it is much more fluid and free moving than Fifa 08. Passing is so much better with the power bar.

As Cheets said, it's very much like PES but definitely not over done like 2008 was.

My only problem with this is the fact every might just become to easy. Fifa 08 requires a lot of patience and build up play, It's very balanced. I can this going in very much the same way as PES6, through balls all the time and no decent build up.

As much as I like this demo, I hope Fifa 09 isn't like it. I want it to be more like 08.
 
Sounds really good, i was so disapointed with pes 2008,i was a huge fan of pes 6 i played it all the time.Fifa 08 was a breath of fresh air with nice gfx and realistic gameplay. This sounds like a good upgrade to fif 08, i hope the goalies arnt too good as i felt that ruined the games, a lot of 0-0's.

The goalkeepers were ridiculously good in FIFA 08, and yet sometimes they had moments of complete retardedness.
