What Steering Wheel Do You Have?

I have a Microsoft Sidewinder precision wheel.
I wouldn't recommend it, since:

a) You probably can't buy them any more
b) There are no drivers for Vista, so it works kinda weird (e.g. the throttle is inverted, you have to push it down to slow down. No, I'm not confusing it with the brake!)
c) The pedal base has a tendancy to slip

I quite like ToCa 3

Whats the best racing game for the PC these days ?

just had a couple hours on GT legends its brill ,all the cars handle totaly different to each other also have race 07 which also highly recomended

also play grand prix 4 which is good but maybe dated now, could really do with a brand new up to date F1 game, anyone know if its on the way?

Get the Power & Glory mod for GTR2, lets you add all the GTL cars into GTR2 and gives you improved physics (and avoids star force which has OS-wrecking potential).

Whats clean racing?? Lol. Well my r440 cost £23 so am quite happy :) Games I've got to play it with are Colin Mcrae 2005 and DiRT, Crashday, Sega Rally, Toca Race Driver 3 and Trackmania United

something essential should you ever play a proper racing game and not get uniformly banned from every server you go on :p

I'd spend the extra and get a Logitech Driving Force Pro.
Agreed - had one for a few years (bought for GT4) and it's exceptional. :)

I also have the Microsoft 360 wheel. Bit crappy TBH. :(

Really wanting a G25 now - the wheel to beat all wheels... until logitech release another 'better' one that is! :D

gt

does the Logitech Driving Force Pro work good on the pc? From what i can see its meant for ps2 and ps3 with no listing for it to be used on pc on logitechs website

It works great on the PC, im using one. All the buttons work correctly and its picked up right away in vista64 and identified as "Logitech Driving Force Pro".

I downloaded the wingman drivers, made by a crew of Logitech driver devs. Which gives you loads more options for configuration.

thats good then cos im looking at getting a new wheel aswell. :)

Looks like i might be able to get a Logitech Driving Force Pro and a Logitech Momo Wheel for about the same price.

Which of the 2 would you get ?
