I'd go for it if you like it tbh. Sod what your friends think. They don't have to get in it if they don't want to. They don't have to buy one if they don't want to. I know which I'd rather have, a little 1.3 Fiesta or a Mondeo V6 with Sat nav, Heated and climate controlled this, that and t'other, etc.

Too many people these days seem really bothered by what people think about them. It bugs me :confused:
 
Does a Focus 2 door have a younger image than the 4 door or something?. Both cars are exactly the same but one has 2 extra doors, which IMO looks better than a stretched rear window. With a few choice mods anyone who sees the car can tell a younger person drives the car, not that it even matters.

If it was me i wouldn't buy that car as i don't like the colour. Its not that i care what other people think its that i like my car to be a colour i like. No point lovingly washing your car if you hate the colour.

Yes. Every 2 door hatch looks better than the 4 door version.

4 doors = practical, suited to older drivers.
2 doors = less practical, and suited to younger drivers, as image may be a major factor.

That's just my opinion, I suppose it is a sweeping generalisation. Meh.

If this matters to you why do you drive a 5 door Ford Focus 1.6 with black plastic door handles? Most of the people I see driving around in a 5 door Focus are family men - it was of course Fords best selling FAMILY car!

Some of the stuff you post is bizarre at best and downright ridiculous at worst.

I agree that this is the case with most hatchbacks, but i think the Focus 2 door looks a bit odd as its still the same size wheelbase. The front door looks massive and the rear window looks too long IMO.

3 door Focus>5 Door Focus.

I'm not biased in any shape what so ever ;)
 
To be blunt you dont sound like your 'really' excited about it.

I'd always say go with your gut feeling and buy whatever makes you happy.

Your only young once and will have pleanty of years to buy a rep saloon when your older but probably less chance to just buy something that appeals to your heart and your eyes.

Most cars I can think of that have 3 and 5 door variants have the same size wheelbase.
 
I'm confused, you've got a huge spec list written out for us to see, pictures and you've spoke to the owner about a P/X.

At this point, if you weren't interested, you'd have walked away. So why bother having ANOTHER conversation, trying to get MORE money, or even be offered more money if you weren't trying to haggle?

It's like you wanted OcUK to approve? If everyone said yeah great, love the colour and the price is right, i bet you'd have gone for it.
