test 3: breaking 10s Pi and hitting 570FSB on air

Ah in that case, good idea! speaking of bioses I wonder if its possible to integrate memtest? I think DFI did it at one point.

Couple of mobos do. Think my EVGA 680i has some form of Memtest in it, though Ive never used it. :D

compare the memory bandwidth and you will see it may outperform the DFI's, so please stay tuned ;)

Does look like a very good board you have produced there indeed.

:)

Tempted to send my DFI back on Monday and wait for this. (Prolly wont, but its still very tempting to save some cash and all. ;) )

Different CPU's eh?

FSB and mem speed are roughly the same.

I wouldnt have thought that 7.2mhz difference in the RAM speed can give the much of a difference... or can it?

Youll have to send a board to me Ken so I can compare it with my DFI board so I can see with my own eyes. :p

I have a Q6600 in my DFI at the moment - 3.8GHz at the moment, but it's got so many options that it's really hard to tell what to change to improve things, and what change will wreck the overclock.

Hard on the eyes though.

BIOS screen shots: (I forgot to take the page for CPU VID, it will be up to 1.6v.)

easy understandable FSB:RAM settings
current settings and targeted settings at next boot are shown.

FSB clock, up to 999MHz (I think it's too much and useless):

FSB: RAM ratio (strap ratio), it would be further modified when shipped (few more straps):

options for memory timings:

Vcore, 1.0v to 2.2v

Vdimm, 1.8v to 3.3v

NB voltage, 1.25v to 1.65v

CPU VTT voltage, up to 1.42v

CPU PLL voltage, 1.65 to 2.25v

Id love to see proper descriptions of motherboard bios functions and settings in the column on the right hand side instead of some really bad translation which in general does nothing for your sanity or your overclocking results.

Thanks for them Ken. :)

Looks like a very simple BIOS to work with.

Whats the deal with the menu name? JUSTw00t! :D :D
