****The official GT5 Prologue Thread****

As extensive as it needs to be and probably more than you would understand or most of us for that matter.
Ive almost completed all fo S CLass with only the car manufacturer races to do.

After that its go and try to gain all golds and keep getting more cars.

Is the car tuning as deep as the other GT games? Can you buy parts for it ect?

You dont need to, in tunning you can adjust the bhp, weight of the car, downforce (on some) ride height, F/R brake balance, gear ratios and all of these are the simple things then it even goes into toe in toe out and adjustments for steering etc.

Each car then allows 3x Presets to be saved.
Additionally the game no offers real time adjustments, eg:
Adjust the brake balance, for certain corners during the race

Nah they're the same, you can give the PSN version to a couple of other people tho, so if you split the cost it will end up cheaper.

Can you confirm that? Would it be a case of downloading, then copying onto a USB stick/hdd ?

Its not bad not sure if its better than pgr3 and forza will see how it turns out in the finished game, the london track is abit pants imo.

I can't find tuning so far?

After owning the JPN version i am enjoying this game again, it is like GT5 lite and although the online isnt all there yet im still enjoying this game immensely. I cant wait to see what other DLC they have for us down the line, new cars, missions etc it certainly wets my appetite for GT5 Full.
Theres a few little niggles here and there, the frame rate isnt always stable, but that only happens on 2 tracks with a bunch of cars in my experience, nothing that is game breaking one bit. Sure i'd like a bit more AA on the cars but they looks better than any other console racer and the "final" version of the game engine is still a year off. The handling im finding pretty much right, one thing to note is that the GT franchise is the one the motor press and industry hold in its highest esteem, even to the point PD designed the inside of the Nissan GT-R and Citroen are designing a car specifically for GT5.
On another note this has moved some serious amount of copies while in norwich yesterday all the supermarkets, most of the game and video stores were out of stock of this game. Seemed a bit barmy if you ask me, cant imagine the sales of the proper GT5, for a bit of comparison Forza 2 has sold 1.09 million copies in the EU/Others since June last year, GT4prologue sold about 0.57 million in the EU/Others and GT5P has nearly had a million pre-orders for just the EU. Gives an inclination how important the GT franchise is to Sony.

Was silly enough to buy the Ford GT... i can barely finish a single lap with the thing without spinning (this is with all driver aids off in professional mode). Strangely enough it seems to spin in corners when i back off of the throttle, which kinda leaves me in a catch 22 of slamming into the wall or spinning.

Guess i'll have to work at it.

Haha yeah! I done the same thing. I can't keep a straight line. Endless wheel spins, snaking all over the place then massive spin outs. Sadly though I sold it thinking I'd get a lot of money back. Again sadly I only got 35k for it. So then decided to buy the Chevy... I can at least drive that and beat the Ford GT.

*me admires the parked Chevy*

maybe your pushing the car too hard...its a very fast car but a complete bitch when pushed hard...try going into the corners at a reasonable speed and accelerate out of them ...let most of the work be done on the straights using the cars power.
