At least it's still easy to navigate, however it does look like we've gone back in time to 1998.

No. How does it look dated?
BBC has always been light on non-text content, and I far prefer that over a site bloated with flash or showing videos I probably didn't want to watch. Flash (inc. flash videos) are used, but only where they're needed. There's even a few bits of AJAX scattered around.
It's ok, you'll get used to it, then in a few years time they'll change it again, and you'll wish it was back to how it is now..!!
give it time, its better then no news at all....![]()
As I posted in the HTML+Graphics forum on this very subject, I dislike the wasted padding/margins in between every line/block.
