The driving force pro is fantastic and only £60, haven't used a pad on the game since i hooked it up. The force feedback is nearly as good as the g25, they've cut costs by only including a sequential gear shifter attached to the wheel unit and no clutch - not the end of the world considering you're saving £80.

i have the hong kong version partly in english with a friend and we seem to have no problems online racing all tonight . so what is the problem with the english version because i was going to buy the english version to play you lot on here

The general problem people have is that you can't manage in any way who you play with so you end up with randomers who like to play destruction derby. The netcode itself actually isn't that bad for a first build, its just suffering due to the poor driving skills the typical 14yr old has.

Oh i got your message on the PSN about drift mode btw, just realized i forgot to reply - in the EU version drift mode it in the arcade (single race) section, next to time trial.

Not yet - will do soon, tho i prob won't end up using it much as it would drive the missus mental (we share a studio flat so there's no escaping). Will have to be used when shes out

GT5

definitely has some of the best graphics ever seen in a driving game, imo the two best looking (including PC racers as there aren't many new ones) racers at present are GT5 and PGR4, there isn't much between em, personally i prefer GT.

Physics wise... well this is why i'm so impressed with the game as you can change the realism according to your tastes. Unfortunately, at its most realistic settings, it doesn't QUITE reach the level of realism that Rfactor and LFS offer on the PC however it isn't actually that far off, its definitely closer than previous GT games. Also, if one of the youngsters wants to play, you can turn on a few driving aids and change the physics from 'professional' (more realistic) to 'standard' (more arcade like) and it's like playing a different game.

Would you say its worth getting the PS3 for? because just watching the video and reading what people have said is really making me want one, i played GT3 A spec to death, same with PGR3 and 4 im really into my racing games.
On a side note not to go too far off topic here, but hows the F1 game, any other decent racing games out or coming out for the console and as far as streaming media goes, can i plug my ipod in like the xbox and play music over the game?

gt5p is so good that i can do lap after lap on my own and not get bored,
the handling of the cars has improved,no other console racer comes close ,and thats even before i get to tune the cars

online a ps3 isnt as good as the 360 just yet as there just no lobbys in a lot of the games and hard to meet join friends . But it can only get better with home round the corner .As far as i know none of the music on the hd of a ps3 can be played in any game so no chance of my nokia 95 8gb working or your ipod . If you liked all them racers though this is a must for sim racers in my eyes . you also get quite a lot to do for the money you pay 18 squid in places

Damn, the 700pts one was so hard on Fuji Speedway for S-Class. The AI can be quite dirty at times. I had a hectic drive on it. I tried the Lotus Elise 111R Tuned on that track. I felt I was lacking a lot of top end. So I decided to jump in the Ford GT LM Spec II car.

That car has some grunt to it. It was crazy. Wish I had a smoother ride, but could only achieve 3rd. I kept screwing up. Just two races to go to complete S-Class.

B Got this game jan4th and it has been nothing but amazing the only downside when it upgraded to spec 2 it wiped all my medals .Kept my cars and cash though so that wasnt to bad . To be honest when it come to pick another next gen console i didnt want to give bill gates anymore of my hard earned cash after vista64 :mad:

Are you looking to get the package gt5 combo

The ferrari f40 is a good car but you have to tune it and mess with the gear ratio really ,worth saving up for

Also have the ford gt which is fun to drive with the back end out all the time

the talking isnt bad for games like cod 4 but gt5 prolouge at the mo doesnt support it . Warhawk is a good online game with good voice now and it comes package with a jabra headset so thats a plus just woke up so still a bit sleepy

Can anyone give some car tips for the 630pts, 680pts and 700pts. S-class races?

I tried the first S-class race with a F430 and got nowhere, would a F40 be able to win those races (as I need to buy one anyway) or would it be best to get a tuned Viper/SRT10/GT (or do they have too much points)

I thought the voice comms on Warhawk were terrible, nowhere as good as 360 voice comms. I haven't tried voice comms on any other PS3 game yet.
