What age are you when you do work experience?

My friend went to super drug (the store) to get some lunch, and walked out with nothing in the end when he was confronted by the guard who claimed he had shoplifted some mints, they seached him and found nothing but his work placement didnt want to look after him no longer from this small trouble.

So for the rest of the 2 weeks he had to clean the secondery school grounds with the cleaners. and thats his experience from the work experience days :D

oh how i laughed when i heard that.

As mensioned briefly, our work experience was 2 weeks, i was 15.
i did cross breeding and GM crops stuff for barley, wheet, corn etc.

Year 10, right near the end. Went to the coucil for environmental health and saftey with my sister, was fairly nice as I got to do a lot of different jobs.

When I was in 3rd year I think. So would've been 15. I had to take my October holiday doing it because of the place I chose to go. Ended up going to a nursery it was great fun :D

Did mine when I was 14

Did it at Special Reserve :D I think I can mention them what with them no longer being a competitor :p

16 - did it at a stockbrokers

sat with the private client brokers, dealers, fund managers and analysts - then got a temp job with them the next summer - didn't have to make any tea as they already employed someone full time to do that! (seriously they had a lady who's only job was to go round the office and bring people drinks - was quite an old school type firm)

Did mine at 14.

A week at Carlton Television in Plymouth working with the IT guys.

Then when I was 16/17 I did a couple of weeks at a company that develops Risk Management software for the NHS. They went into liquidation not long after

But Summer holidays are coming up again and I have had it with temporary jobs wasting space on my CV and getting me no where so I'm hoping to get some more work experience somewhere.

Did mine at the age of 15 (year 10). Was a complete waste of time - spent a fortnight making tea and shredding - but they gave me £10 a day, which at the time was enough to incentivise me a bit!
