Why are all 'trendy' clothes gay?

If you know where to looks you can get some great steals. I purchased a pair of brand new Levi's Twists (bloody rare!) for £30! I'm happy with that and they're comfy as hell. And before you ask, authentic too! :)
I purchased a pair of Pepe Jeans for £25. They retail of £85.

My rule of thumb when shopping is look around first. You'd be suprised!

just dont be a label whore and go buy what fits and looks good from what ever shop it may be.

my jeans range from tescos (not the value crap!) through burton (surprisingly large sizes!) up to a few pairs of DKNY.

Anyone telling me that tescos value is jsut as good as a pair of £100 jeans is talking rubbish.

As can be seen from this thread, OcUK is not a hotbed of modern men that are fashion conscious or even fashion aware.

From the sounds of it, most of you dress like dads/grandads.

£100 jeans offer nothing more than £40 ones from GAP, which are very, very good quality. If you pay £100 for cloth jeans, you must be a label whore and/or someone who deserves a slap.

Levis are good, sure, but how can you stomach paying so much more than what they are worth? Americans pay less than half what we do for them, and even that is OTT.

Allow me;

I cant get past Carhartt jeans, i only tend to wear baggy jeans as i am pretty tall and not the thinnest bloke. I'll also wear Volcom jeans too. What i like about slightly more expensive jeans is that my carhartts last me around 4 years per pair...

Edit: bleached, torn/ ripped, creased jeans do suck though imo

Jeans imo should go do to the floor when you have no shoes on, so then when your shoes go on it fits perfectly around your shoe and covers your ankles, i dont see how some people can wear jeans so it shows the bottom of you leg a little, then you get a annoying breeze on your leg.

as for colors....hmmm, blue and black only for me, although i have had in *** past ones that looked like paint spillt down them

oh I like g-star and onetruesaxon at the moment look at this superb g-star jacket I simply have to have this jacket

I get jeans from TK Maxx, i got 2 pairs of YSL jeans for £25 each and a pair of Diesel boot cut jeans for £30. This was about 3 years ago and they're still fine if a bit faded, but that seems to be the style now anyway so cant lose lol.

Cheap jeans @ £10 are rubbish though, they're all different sizes even when the label says they're the same. The material is also really stiff and uncomfortable to wear IME. Much better to buy a pair of decent jeans at ex catalogue places.

pff £100 quid jeans yikes. all my clothes are from M&S and american shirt shops ( I dress like a kansas farmer) lol.

£100 quid gets me 3 pairs of jeans and 2 shirts from M&S :D

I've given up jeans now; as a mid 30's guy I decided to wear trousers and suits. I feel more compfortable and generally smarter.

I don't believe you :)

Cheap jeans are fine if that is what you want, but there is very, very noticeable quality difference
I disagree. I can see no real difference in quality or longevity only price and label and maybe the addition of some logos or extra pockets.

It is of my opinion that the only real difference is in the mind of the purchaser...

Anyone telling me that tescos value is just as good as a pair of £100 jeans is talking rubbish.

In your opinion! Mine is the exact opposite and I stand by that. It is all in the label.

However, if people want to lay dowm a 100 notes on a pair of jeans then that's their choice. Me? I'll buy my cheap arse jeans and maybe a couple of pairs costing up to £40 for going out in (although I prefer to be far more formally dressed when going out proper) and spend the rest of the money I have saved on crack and hookers.
