I just got my annual car insurance quote... cheap!

Seeign as I'd already made an insurance post, I thought I'd drag this up. I just had the strangest call with Admiral.

I called up to cancel my insurance and, as ever, get them trying to keep me on. I speak to the chap for five minutes, he does what he can and says, hmmm, sorry, I can only reduce it to within £57 of the Esure quote. Let me speak to our payments team (or something) and off he goes for another couple of minutes.

While he's off, I'm making a cup of tea and thinking, "if he can get it to within £20 of Esure, I'll take it, for pure ease (and because they're friendly folk)". So he comes back and I'm waiting eagerly......and he says, "I've spoken to the payments people and the best we can do is £731."........

I point out that £40 higher than the renewal quote and all he can do it apologise and say, "that's the offer"........ I even asked if he'd written it down wrong :D

Admiral, friendly enough on the phone, but my goodness that left me looking like this :confused:
 
I thought adrian flux was a broker, so your insurance can be with one of a number of companies. So some might be better than others? I think I am currently with Highway, and previously I was with Jubile.

dont some insurance companies refuse to talk to end users though?
